Based on tweets from Jeff Gluck, some of the security personnel at the track are not on the same page as NASCAR/event organizers and are telling fans that today’s race is cancelled and to leave the premises.

Because lightning delays have never happened to NASCAR before?
There were people climbing on bus stops and L stations, piled onto rooftops, gathered in windows, and peering through fences on the lakefront just to get a glimpse of an xfinity race.

It's raining pretty hard. I'm already soaked. No lightning, but they ain't starting on time.

Looks like mostly rain with occasional lightning, but the whole area is in a flash flood warning so they aren’t racing right now even if it isn’t lightning.
