Not gonna lie, I purchased a cherry lime BodyArmor for the first time today. I needed to rehydrate anyway after all the white cans consumed this weekend.

Dave Moody brought up a good point on his show earlier. No matter what NASCAR decides to do, they are in a no win situation.
If they don’t suspend Chase then people could view it as punishments are not equal and that certain drivers can get away with it more than others.
If they do suspend him, is it opening the door forcing NASCAR to get more involved and having to review data every time a driver say they were wrecked intentionally?

Well here it is.
quote:
NASCAR has suspended Chase Elliott one race for wrecking Denny Hamlin at Charlotte.
quote:
On SiriusXM, NASCAR's Elton Sawyer: "Drivers need to understand they have to handle that a completely different way." On whether they will give Chase Elliott a waiver after his suspension: "I don't see any reason at this point in time why we wouldn't do that."
quote:
NASCAR's Elton Sawyer says they looked at data and video from Chase Elliott after he said it wasn't intentional: "Nothing gave us the indication anything was broken (on the car)."

Or it might be refreshing to see guys like Chase handle their business on the track more often. He did get bumped hard by Hamlin, who has his own reputation for getting frustrated and aggressive.
Chase isn't turning into Ross Chastain just because he took care of his own. I have no idea why people don't understand that things get handled in the heat of the moment in this sport. Not adjudicated in front of Nascar brass the following week. Hockey players know they are creating power plays when they break the rules, but they will forever handle their business in the NOW. And that is Nascar too.
Agree 100%.
Chase is my guy but I wish he was more aggressive at times. Just say frick it at times and take matters into your own hands. I understand what he did to Denny, he's tired of his shite. Was it the best time to retaliate? No but I understand where Chase was coming from. Denny is a prick and got some of his own medicine. That said, I would be okay w/parking him for a race but I don't think NASCAR is going to. I see a fine and some points taken away.
NVM: Just saw where he got suspended one race so I was wrong. Props to NASCAR for being consistent.

If I'm Rick, Corey LaJoie has one job Sunday, and that's to make sure Denny doesn't finish the race.

Why? Denny was annoying pleading his case but Chase was in the wrong.

Meh. This should be the end of it. But if Denny tries anything else on Chase then all bets are off and I wouldn't put it past him to try to instigate shite b/c Denny is an instigator.

Carson Hocevar will make his cup debut driving the 7 car this weekend.

Disagree. Denny got into Chase twice previously in the race before squeezing him into the wall. Denny wouldn't have taken that so why should Chase?

So that’s what you think Chase did?
Some are blinded by fandom.

Can’t hook someone like that at that spot on the track. Denny is no saint but there was other spots where Chase could have got him back on the track.

Agree. It is a great opportunity for him. It helped Berry out and maybe it will be good for Corey

Chase fricked himself here by missing a road course race that he would be among the favorites at

??? They are on a 1.25 mile oval this week.
Nascar had no choice but to suspend. I like Chase too. And even if if wasn’t intentional it sure looked that way and public assumes it was.
No biggie, now its clean slate. He had to win to get in regardless.

Yep. And that's how he wants it.
But like I said earlier, I wouldn't put it past Denny to try something to stir shite up w/Chase just due to him being an a-hole.

Denny will have some big boos at nascar tracks for sure. He has his twitter turned off for replies. He’s a whiner and thats why Bubba is too.
Chase will be fine. He has strong tracks coming up. Separate from this, he hasn’t run the best so far likely due to car changes in iff season and all his prior missed races.
I wish nascar had only suspended Bubba for assaulting Larson with a live track. I don’t like them getting too far into on track issues. Chastqin has caused more carnage and higher injury potential for all his wrecks and his owner fixed it not nascar. Now every race someone will be calling for suspensions for something on track. In fact it was whiney Hamlin who used social media to do so. Never saw Larson call for Bubba to be suspended.
Main thing for Chase is to shake it off, be aggressive and work on road cars.
