Related to the Larson Dega crash: Bob Pockrass @bobpockrass Here are locations of where teams can add gusset plates (provided by NASCAR & welded in place by teams) to strengthen passenger-side area. It is optional. Does add a few pounds. Some teams likely will wait to see if more changes coming after NASCAR does crash testing this week.
This is why NASCAR stinks to me. Spec chassis that you have to have permission to add gussets.
It’s the reason certain drivers play bumper cars. Chassis are expendable. You rack one out, just get another. Could you imagine Mark Martin throwing his favorite Roush #6 road racing chassis in to everybody at COTA turn 1?

NASCAR rules update:
—heat-activated fire suppression system must incl engine compartment, not just fuel tank area.
—Updated procedure if leader at time of caution is in accident as far as wave around & free pass
—specified double-yellow-line rule for prac/qual at superspeedways

ESPN: NASCAR investigating derogatory message on Bubba Wallace's radio during all star race
quote:
NASCAR has opened an investigation into how a derogatory message was broadcast on the radio channel of Bubba Wallace's race team during last weekend's All-Star race.
Wallace, NASCAR's only Black driver in the Cup Series, had just finished Sunday's race at North Wilkesboro Speedway when a person not on the 23XI Racing team said over the radio, "Go back to where you came from," and then added a nonracial expletive

That happens a lot, but now we’re going to investigate because it happened to Bubba?
Go back to where you came? So harsh.
NASCAR needs to go back to where they came from and figure out why their short track package is hot garbage

The horror.
If you're going to tap into a team's frequency, at least make it clever, or something worth investigating.
Someone should say the same to Larson and see if they're investigated for Asian hate.

They just can't help but slam their dick in the door.
Are they calling in the FBI again as well?

Dale Jr. spent 30 min on his disappointment in the racing at Wilksboro and the overall performance of the NexGen car and its killing off of short track racing.

Opinions? I’d watch it more than NASCAR

SRX really needs a better looking car instead of that generic thing they slap on the chassis.

I’d hate to see him in politics and ruin his awesomeness.

NASCAR needs him in some kind of leadership role.

Can you summarize what Dale said? Cars handle too well? Drivers don’t lean on each other enough?

Not a good weather day for the Xfinity Series.

Didn't seem to slow down Kyle Larson.
