Maybe Blaney or Logano can win tonight and the Captain sweeps the two big American races

The winner should have been a Ganassi or McLaren driver, or VeeKay or Ferrucci. You just can't call it, there's always a surprise.

You can see in his face how much it means to win this race.

He's got a point.

Green/White/Checker should be standard

If Ericsson wanted to win he should be driving for Penske.

I agree with him 100%, you can't restart an oval race with just two laps left. You can't do the regular start procedure with at least one pace car lap, and having just one hot lap left is not fair at all to the guy in P1.

And while it's entertaining to fans, it's not fair at all to the drivers to change up procedures on the fly.

The bottom line is, it was a very popular win for Newgarden so the fans are happy and that's good for IndyCar.

But at the same time several drivers have a legitimate beef over the way the race officials conducted the race.

Danica was hinting that it was a strange ending but she made a good point. In the end, they are in the entertainment business.

They didn't really dance around anything. Dale Jr said the restart was unorthodox, and Danica said welp, this is the entertainment business. I think they addressed the situation appropriately.

Do some drivers have a beef? Sure. Does anyone, including drivers, want a 500 mile race that is the crown jewel of auto racing to end 3 laps early due to caution? Nope.

What are they going to say? Roger Penske literally controls everything about the series.
