Been waiting for race week to pop back in the thread, open the door to see a bunch shite slinging going on.

At any rate how far off the pace of Max will Checo be this weekend?

Has anything surfaced with cap violations yet?

Anyone have a link to this Max AMR Valkyrie video? Supposedly endangered some folks?

Edit: nvm I found it. What an overreaction by law enforcement.

It's practically nothing, they're bitching because he didn't have both hands on the wheel and was adjusting the touch screen and may or may not have been speeding.

Dude literally drives 200+ mph and makes adjustments on the fly while racing. I think making adjustments at 65mph is probably well within his comfort zone.

The only thing you could be mad about is that there are dumbasses on the road that he needs to watch out for.

Damn that thing sounds nasty...

And what a bunch of bitches, he did nothing unsafe. Hell, he's the most capable and safest driver on any street that he would have gone on that day.

Yeah that thing is badass. Funny you have to wear a headset in a $3m car.

He’s (one of) the best drivers on the planet and no one is talking about the guy who smashed the Zonda LH and his inability to drive just the fact he destroyed an unreal car.

What do we think about the Circuit Zandvoort (or however its's spelled)?

Turn 1 looks like a doozy with a very long DRS straight.

Is anyone implementing any upgrades for the first time this weekend? That might be something to consider. The McLaren has been a "rocket," as Sir Lewis Hamilton put it, since they upgraded in time for Silverstone.

Zandvoort used to be on the calendar back in the day and I think it's a decent circuit but like many others just outdated for the size of the current F1 spec.

I also think they brought it back to appease the throngs of orange t shirt sporting, techno bumping, orange flare sparking, Heineken drinking, Dutch Max fans.

F1 backed down on the ridiculous fees for businesses along the Vegas track

LINK

quote:

Formula One has pumped the brakes on a controversial plan to force Las Vegas clubs and restaurants to cough up millions of dollars in licensing fees by threatening to block their views of the hotly anticipated Grand Prix race, The Post has learned.

The posh car racing league has slashed the price that venues located along the November event’s 3.8-mile circuit must pay to around $50,000 each — down sharply from a $1,500-per-head demand that would have resulted in a tab of $3 million for a major venue with a capacity of 2,000, as the The Post exclusively reported.

That's quite the downward departure.

We sat by some Dutch dudes at the grand prix the Mrs. and I (no pics) attended. They were very cool and down to earth. They were also gigantic human beings and knowledgeable. They explained to me why Heineken should be served "cool" but not cold. I don't buy it, though. I never want a cool beer.

The Zandvoort (sp?) circuit appears to be narrower than other circuits (nothing like Monaco, of course). Does that hinder overtaking?

I'm pumped for racing to return muh dudes.
