Sprint shootout. Hamilton is out in the first round. He'll start the sprint race in P18. He's lucky the sprint race no longer sets the order for the main race.
I'm still in favor of the current system, where the sprint and the main race are completely separate.

I’ve gotta to say. I think the Sprint qualifying is odd but this weekend I’ll watch 4 sessions rather than my standard 2. I can’t watch a practice.

As a multi-time world champion, the sprint points are irrelevant to Hamilton because anything but fighting to win the driver's championship is meaningless for him. No one is challenging Max this year, but for most other drivers, scoring any points is important to their careers.
But, I would argue that the sprint does in fact matter to his team. Mercedes is only 13 points ahead of Aston Martin in the constructors championship, and as we all know, that's where the money is.

TF is wrong with sharles? Barely gets out of Q1 by .001 and he looks like monkey trying to frick a football in Q3

They point out again that Hülkenberg has never finished on the podium, but he has a chance to finish in the top 3 of the sprint race. Still not a podium.

The Sprint Shootout is marginally more exciting than FP2, but it’s still not very exciting. The stakes just aren’t high enough. No one cares about the Mickey Mouse qualifying session because no one cares about the Mickey Mouse sprint race. That being said, I watched it, so the FIA will think I loved it, so frick me, I guess.

That’s me, I hate the sprint weekends, yet when I got up at 4:30 to check my brisket on the smoker this morning I put on the shootout. I’m part of the problem promoting the thing I hate.

Yuki seems to be scrugglin’ with this track.

I like the shootout and sprint over just P2 and P3..
Making laps vs racing laps is more exciting.
Comes down to personal preference.
