At this track, they would have to make physical changes to keep the drivers from trying to push it.

Just put gravel on the outside of the corners.

Exactly one car width from the white line.

Or land mines.

Mines would be fun.

So if De Vries gets Marko’d during the Silly Season AND Perez continues to tank in qualifying, do we see Danny Ric or Checo in the Alpha Tauri seat?

On one hand, I feel bad for Checo when he is compared to Verstappen, one of the greatest drivers of all-time.

he refuses to accept he's the 2nd driver. He could easily drive within himself and podium every week but he's pushing way too hard.

Forgot about sprint weekend format and checked this thread before being able to watch the quali replay. I like the sprint races and look forward to watching.

eta: You have to tip your hat to Hulk. He should have never lost his seat in F1.

Bottas went 1:02.9 in qualifying 3 years ago. That would drive me crazy

his deleted lap was a 4.9. He backs off a couple of tenths and banks the lap and he advances. Max has broken him

Yep. He really thinks he is Max's equal.

Would love to have been a fly on the wall when Racey Spice and Marko did their debrief with him.

Just saw a stat claiming Hulk is 5-4 over the Mexican in qualifying.

We discussed this last year… track limits should go to the edge of another surface that impedes the driver.

I thought they tested a compound last year at one of the tracks that was terrible for the tires

Albon started off very strong in the Red Bull and was a noticeable instant upgrade over gasly that season. Then he had some bd luck in a few races including that incident with Hamilton and seemingly never recovered. He’s a very good driver

Are you thinking of those abrasive rings around the track at Paul Ricard?

Hamilton took him out twice like a dirt bag. Can't sugar coat it.

Alex "They race me too hard" Albon

RBR made him retire from a race because he was crying around the track.

Dude is garbage.

Yes, but there was something they tested at another race that was similar. I’ll have to google it.
