Adam Cooper
@adamcooperF1
It's approaching 10pm in Miami and rain is pouring down at the circuit, so any rubber on the track will be washed away....

So maybe if no grip on or off the racing line, we can see some overtakes?

I’d bet more on multiple safety cars/red flags than additional overtakes. The surface was trash off the racing line and super slick so now the racing line will also be gone, tomorrow might be a mess.

Carrera series will lay down a little rubber.

I don't see this as anything but bad. Even wet no one will venture offline

On a permanent road course at least, when it's wet, offline is the place to be. Rubber on the line is slippery when wet. On a temporary circuit the rain will wash away the rubber and I think all parts of the wet track will be equally good/bad. I think it will improve the racing.

So looking forward to today's race! But.., I can't lie. I really enjoy my usual Sunday morning coffee and race.

Do not like Western Hemisphere races exactly for this reason! (Unless I attend).

Very little chance of rain this afternoon but the normal coastal afternoon breeze will be blowing about 15.

I owned a home up the coast between Delray Beach and Boynton Beach that was east of the A1A Hwy, less than a block off the ocean. In summer, you could turn of the AC , open windows and doors, and the breeze coming in would feel nice.

Won’t a green track scrub off more tire wear until rubber gets laid down? That might change up tire strategy or require earlier pit stops by a few laps.

Hoping Alonso jumps Checo and runs away with it... Knowing in reality it won't happen, but one can hope.

Second hope is somehow Russell, Ham, and Max get tangled up and Russell takes all three of them out at once

Yeah, split here in who I'm pulling for. The RB is arguably the fastest if the two cars, but if Checo or RB's crew makes an unforced error, Fernando has a car that can win this.

I dislike when the race is in the states, I enjoy waking up to the grid walk with a cup of coffee on Sundays

Random, but I finally finished DTS and really enjoyed how they highlighted the midfield teams, and how important finishing 4th as opposed to 5th is. We have that “2nd place is just the first loser” mentality here in America, and that’s just not always the case.

Well F1 divides prize money according to finishing order in constructors. NFL has equal profit-sharing for all teams so no owner cares unless win the Super Bowl.

Kimi talked about that mentality in his book. How his best races were putting a 10th place car into 6th place. Knowing you have no chance to win had no bearing on his motivation.

Where is today's race televised?

Internet says ESPN at 2:30 central, the guide on my TV says NBA all afternoon on ESPN.
