There isn’t anything better than watching the Stanley cup winners celebrate

Amazing how the game is still dominated by Canadiens and international players. Just looked at the entire COL roster (42 players) only 5 are from the U.S.

I'm surprised the Stanley Cup presentation and postgame wasn't hidden on ESPN+.

Lord Stanley already has a bruise, or should I say dent. At some point during the celebration it was dropped on the ice … ooops. Just a minor flesh wound

Congrats to the Avs fans, I’m sorry to see the season end and will have withdrawals for a few weeks

I have to say... I’m a fan of some shitty sports franchises. But this is the greatest day in sports of my life. Ole Miss and the Colorado Avalanche winning championships in the same day. Maybe my bad luck has run out. Jaguars are next!!

First of all, as I think one of a handful of guys who talked Avs hockey on this board back around 2004 ( Balloo) and an Avs die- hard let me just say I did not expect the flood of tears I just experienced. Wow. I’m emotionally drained.

Hats off to Tampa Bay. Those guys and that organization are absolutely formidable in every way . Incredible competitors.

As for the game, I literally don’t think I have ever seen a team as gassed as the Bolts. That third period offered almost no real drama because of it. That’s a lot of games in 3 years.

The dominance of this Avs team is only something we can talk about now. No team has ever won more games in a season. In the end they were just so dominant down the blue line. Remember, Girard was a huge loss too. But that’s were so steady all season and allowed hot Avs forward combos to emerge and dominate all season.

Makar, Nate, Landy etc. But just as much I will remember Kadri, Nichushkin, Manson, Toews, etc. Well done, Burnaby Joe. You played the right pieces.

The tears, boys. I’ve got them tears. I wasn’t sure I’d get to experience this again. But dear Lord do I have the feels. I’m so happy for the front range , the state of Colorado and every Avs fan and all those great former players and everyone who loves the Avalanche.

Thank you, thank you, thank you !
Go Avs.

I wonder who, how, and what repairs it so it looks like new all the time?

Well said! I got into the Avs back in 01 as an 11 year old thanks to a buddy who's family was all Devils fans. NHL 01 was my guilty pleasure and that Stanley Cup match up was the only reason why I used the Avs on the game. Crazy to have followed them all these years throughout the ups and downs. I was crushed when freaking Duchene left. Best thing that could have happened moving forward. Soak it in because hopefully this is the start of something special.

How many avalanche fans does tigerdroppings have?

It’s a weird connection, but LA to CO and the reverse is real. When I moved to Fort Collins I was amazed at how many LSU/Saints fans were in the area (not that it was the majority, but it was way more than I thought it would be).

Also congrats, Metallica! It’s awesome you got to see it, and hopefully see it get dented I almost decided to go last night, but ultimately decided I’d go to G7 if needed.

I think I would’ve died today if it was needed.

Quite a few transplants in CO. I have been following the Avs since McNichols arena was the venue. Actually, the Colorado Rockies was the minor league team here before the Nordiques came to town. Fun times. Those games were lit. Saw the infamous Draper hit in person. They shoveled red ice for a while.
