I didn’t know you could keep placing it for a propped up lie after your initial drops roll past.

They do what ever they want. Preventative preferred lies, cavalier drops. We need some tougher rules officials. The best players in the world shouldn't be getting bailed out

Did they come from 6 shots back and win?

He also won two majors within the last decade already

Mingo is enraged right now missing simple little facts like that.

He's a really good player, like I've said a million times. He also folds when there's trophies at stake, as he's shown like a half dozen times since 2014. He's so talented he'll clip of 3 or so wins a year but Tour wins and money don't cut it for Rory. When you are supposed to be THE GUY of your generation, you have to win majors

I think it’s fair to say Rory has been a disappointment relative to what he was hyped up to be, but that’s the nature of the PGA Tour. Every few years some prodigy comes along that is propped up as the next Tiger and inevitably fails to meet those expectations. That doesn’t make Rory a bad golfer or washed up.

It's the 80 at the Masters, the multiple first round 76's, and all the back door top 10/5's that are so frustrating with Rory. He makes dumb mistakes and shoots himself out of a tournament, only to be the best player for the other 71 holes.

It’s a generation of making runs. That’s what golf is now. The depth has done that. Rory ran off 4

Spieth 3

Morioka 2

Brooks 4

That’s what we are going to see. In the meantime though, Rory still has stayed the most consistent of the generation by far. If he wins 1 or 2 more which all trends show he will, 5 or 6 majors with the current fields and depth of the modern game is absolutely all time worthy

Anyone who even pretends to know golf would concede that. 5 or 6 would be like 8-10 in previous eras
