I watched all 3 races today and rate them:
1. Nascar
3. Indycar
10. F1
I like F1 and understand its nuances but that was a parade. Best part was hot women around Monaco. Indy was good.
But the racing in this nascar race was awesome! They finally hit on the right amount of spray and car. Have to give them credit. Next year need more tires though.

Kyle Larson had 197 passes tonight. Not surprisingly, that was a race-high.
Thats at least a years worth for F1 or likely over.

This was the best Coke 600 I can remember in at least 10-15 years. It was awesome. I could have done with fewer spins, but otherwise, awesome.

I don't mind the stage points being given but I hate the yellow flags associated with the stages.

Atlanta would have been great, but they had to mess with it
In all fairness, it was time for a repave there. The surface was literally falling apart.
I'd be okay w/having the All-Star race at AMS.
That was the best 600 I've seen in at least a decade. Props to the Gen 6 car. Now they just have to figure out the tire and the fricking toe link(cost Chase two wins this year) and they are set.
Hamlin winning.

Over 5 hours for the nascar race and goofy stages. Does nascar want to be an endurance race or not? Who has time to sit and watch 6+ hours of coverage? ETA: I turned the race off and went to bed.
F1 @ Monaco is always a parade. They need to skip it or turn it into a real parade. Races are short, maximum time is 2 hours from the start of the race. They ran into that at monaco.
Indycar had cars going almost 240mph, race lasted just over 3 hours.

Stage racing is a problem. It makes for boring strategy most of the time and yeah we may get 3 or 4 laps of random hard racing at lap 85, but then it’s followed by 20 minutes of commercials and caution laps before they do it all again for 85 laps.
If they want to award points during the middle of the race, just be like okay, we’re giving out a few points at the 25%, 50%, and 75% marks of the race but we’re staying green. Would probably cut the race length of time by 15-20%…….. But we gotta get those 75 Liberty Mutual commercials in somewhere.

It’s safe to say they did right with these Next Gen cars. Best Coke 600 I ever seen
I've watched plenty of these and falling asleep or flipping it to a WWII flick is the norm. This one had plenty going on throughout.
I would have love to have seen the finish if Dillon was able to hold on and not cause the wreck. I think Hamlin would have gotten the lead going into the last lap but I think Dillon or Chastain may have had enough to reach Hamlin for a possible pass or dump lol.

Memorial day weekend is probably not the best weekend to watch races and rank them.

What would be a better weekend?

Probably one with a real Formula 1 or IndyCar race. Neither Monaco or the Indy 500 are a good representation of either series.

A good Indianapolis 500 isn’t a good representation?
I’ll agree that Monaco isn’t typically a good race.

Juniors podcast this week is with Jeremy Mayfield. That should be a good one.

I thought Mayfield was in jail.
Posted on 5/31/22 at 6:45 pm to TigerFred
Did he even go to jail for the meth?

Xfinity drivers need to just start taking out Ty Gibbs. He does it to them every time he gets frustrated.
Posted on 6/4/22 at 5:58 pm to Undertow
Yeah he isn’t making any friends today.
This Portland race is insane.

I don’t see myself ever getting off the Ty Gibbs is shite head train.
This race is an epic cluster frick. They drove all the way to Portland to destroy half the field.
