You don't have to qualify, but you have to do at least one session to show you're up to speed. Since there aren't any more sessions before the race, it's Mick or no one.

They just showed a pan through the VIP suites and obviously, there is nothing to watch right now but nothing irks me more than going to a sporting event and seeing people in the boxes not even watching the game/race/whatever.
My wife was down in LA in 2019 and one of her friends invited her to the Saints v Rams playoff game in one of the boxes. I texted her right after "the play" and said holy shite you saw that live, her response "what? I am eating and drinking with my friends".

I was trying to remember without looking it up. Italy in the rain like 2017ish or maybe Turkey a couple of years ago.

Stroll is actually one of the better drivers in wet conditions from what I've seen.
