Also, if McLaren has an opening, does Pato come over from Indy??

They talked about this on Missed Apex this week and I believe the short answer was “he can’t”.

Indy doesn’t count towards FIA super license points so I believe he’d have to race in Formula 2 and Formula 3 to earn points. That the FIA used to allow exemptions but Max was the last one they allowed.

He would have to log some serious hours/miles during demo and practice.

I really thought that was the intent with the post season this year, but it didn't seem so.

If he won the Indy Series I think the exemption would happen.

I think that would give him his 40 points... and I think he needs 3 years to get to 40 as well (very doable)

The amount of testing (miles driven) would be another hurdle

Then the FIA International license

The exemption I could see needed, would be for racing in the junior leagues for 2 years

That's why I'm surprised he's not buried under a parking lot somewhere. I'd have figured his big mouth would have long ago pissed off the wrong boss.

From the rumors he is the boss, or his dad is the boss

Since all the high rake teams are now having to run low rake cars due to the ground effects package... I wonder who will get their suspension geometry sorted out best

I was highly suspicious before, but after seeing the AT car and the rest of the reveals so far, I'm 100% convinced that the car RBR "revealed" was just the F1 concept car painted in Red Bull colors.

Definitely have not seen the RB18 yet.

As I have said before I don't think we will see the actual cars until the 23rd in Spain and there will likely be some details left for FP1 in Bahrain. If a team has something "out of the box" they are sure will work they are going to do everything they can to avoid giving the other teams a full month to copy it before the season starts.

Front wings for example are not a big deal to hide until the very end, the floors can possibly be hidden all year if they don't get their car picked up by a crane.

The main thing to look at now is the liveries.

I'm still solidly in the camp of hating sprint races, I know F1 is doing is strictly for the money and viewership but I think they're gimmicks and hate them.

I really like the color combo on the AT. Good looking car

Remind me why they are running wheel covers? Aero? Wonder if there will be brake cooling problems.
