Can't remember where; but someone, maybe Daniel, said his warmup was dark. Like he worked himself up into a pissed off attitude before lights out. Make himself want to fight.

I mean I understand his point but if mag drives away then that's kinda on mick. Ideally your teammate should help you out but I have a hard time empathizing with someone who wants his teammate to go slower so he can catch up. Not to mention Hamilton is right there. When Perez caught them he passed both. Ham may have done the same and Haas gets 1 point instead of 2

Hamilton wasn't passing Mick with DRS. He barely got it done without it. Not sure why we're trying to pretend the Merc is as fast as the Red Bull.

2 more laps and ham maybe gets mag too. He was within drs on the last lap. Telling him to slow down is risky. I'm not saying the merc is fast as Perez but it's faster than the haas

Mick has every right to be pissed. The whole point of them telling him to not pass KMag was so that they'd work together then they just throw that out at the end. Either stick to the plan or shove your team order up your arse.

Granted I still think the rocket ship that is the Red Bull still would have had the speed to eventually get by both of them even with DRS. The Merc? No way.
Downvote all you want, the proof is in the pudding. Hamilton couldn't get by as long as Mick had DRS. The Merc was too slow in a straight line. There's half a race worth of evidence.

Lewis was the only person in the paddock with a facemask on after the sprint race.

As a McLaren / Alonso fan, what pisses me off about the Honda engine on the Red Bull is that when Alonso came back to McLaren, Honda couldn't build an engine that could go much faster than the pit lane speed limit, and when it did manage to do it, it would blow itself up before the driver could come around to complete another lap. And it was the same story for 3 consecutive seasons and Honda couldn't figure it out if their life depended on it.
Then all off a sudden you take the Renault engine off the Reb Bull and strap the Honda on the back of it, and it is suddenly a Saturn 5 rocket. Of all the fricking teams Honda could have gone to, they end up with Red Bull at the right time.

I remember watching the Amazon series that documented that season for McLaren (pre dates DTS). What a train wreck.

Part of that was Mclaren as well. They refused to compromise their chassis for the Honda engine so Honda had a shitty package.
Same was true for RBR with the last year of Renault. Danny Ric got royally fricked with the Renault package that last year. Red Bull really made Renault look bad that last year.

The point was to stay in DRS range for Mick. Ham wasn't passing him until he lost the DRS,
