Just finished DTS S4.

I got pissed all over again watching Silverstone.

Hamilton is so insufferable. Obtuse said it best that he idolizes Senna but keeps trying to preach how clean of a driver he is.

Guenther is the best. I really hope for some Haas success this year.

The Mazepin scenes are crazy to watch now after what happened the past two weeks. He accused them of giving him a sabotaged car instead of admitting he wasn't a good driver.

Yuki is hilarious.

Surprised there was no mention of how Mercedes rocket engine took over the backend of the season or Max touching the wing.

And they definitely should have included drunk Toto and Valtteri singing and partying in Abu Dhabi at the end.

Hamilton can do no wrong in the eyes of Hamilton.

I thought DTS did a pretty decent job at the last two races. Abu Dhabi was so crazy that I forgot just how nuts Saudi Arabia was. I need to go back and rewatch that race.

One glaring omission from DTS was Checo's dad in Mexico.

Forgot Guenther's best quote

quote:

“He’s not an Oligarch…he’s a fertilizer guy.”

Slingshot of Max in Q3 at Abu Dhabi. That was excellent teamwork.

Luckily they gave a fair amount of time to his defense on Hamilton.

The news today that he is changing/hyphenating his name should solve this.

Also, the Vanity Fair pics from today make Lewis' attire look tame.

DtS isn't really known for diving into the technical side of the sport. Might be the source of some fans criticism. Not sure I'd want to see the take on Netflix breaking down engine modes or strategy.

I wish they gave Alonso time for his defense of Ham at Hungary to give Ocon the win. That was incredible.

My one warm take after watching S4 is that George Russell is going to have major pains in the Mercedes this year- he just seemed so much more emotional versus Valtteri who everyone basically admitted was the perfect #2 for Lewis

Forgot that one was omitted.

They love to highlight strife between teammates, even going so far as to make it up, but don't care much for the teamwork.

Oh yeah that could be spicy. Imagine George in position for first ever podium* or even win and being given "team orders".

*not counting SPA rainout

You heard that he’s producing a movie, about himself?

It was. Alonso was very absent from DtS, but so were whole teams like Alfa and Aston Martin. Not that I care about those teams.

Stuff like that just makes it obvious that DTS isn’t made for current fans of the sport. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, because it is entertaining during the off season and it does a great job at exposing new potential fans to F1. I think that will only bring good things for the sport. Especially here in North America.

It has already been huge for fandom in the US. Ratings skyrocketed this past year. Couldn’t have asked for a better situation with the drama at the end.

Can't wait.

Didn't realize it started at 10a CDT, I thought it was earlier.

I like the Sunday morning tradition of waking up early and getting a GP in before my wife even gets out of bed.

Formula one fans crack me up sometimes and it’s funny to see some of the opinions and vitriol (not from you) for drive to survive. Yes, DTS is made for the drama aspect. It’s about the only thing entertaining about F1 these days. It sure as shite isn’t the actual racing 99% of the time

Middle East evening races are like that.

The worst are the daytime races in Australia, China, and Japan. I have to DVR those and can't follow along live because they're in the middle of the damn night.
