Carlos with the fastest time today?

What does it all mean??

Actually Magnussen had the fastest time of the day in the extra time Haas was given this evening, he was 3 tenths quicker than Sainz's time.

2006 v10 cars

I will raise your 3L V10s with the 1994 Tipo 43 a wide vee angle (75 deg) 3.5L V12 designed by Lombardi and Goto that ran ~16k rpm in qualy trim. It is one if not the most aurally alluring F1 engines ever and the shorter stroke and wider vee than the previous engine gave it an incredibly melodic shriek. It had a lot fewer odd-order harmonics than the previous 65 degree engine. It only ran in the last half of the '94 season and was replaced with a 3l the next year.

Just got an email that COTA tickets go on sale next week, we aren't going this year but I checked out of curiousity. We paid $440 with tax/fees for our Turn 12 seats last year, this year those same seats will start at $522 and up. So probably looking at about $600/ticket.

ETA: Still a bargain compared to Miami. A buddy just sold his Miami tickets for $3000 each.

Ol' James knows a bit about winning a championship with a spirit of the rules-breaking car. Brawn transformed him from a Honda garagista into a strategist.

I bought 4 Canada tickets to have the option of selling two to pay for the other two.

Hope it works out.

That is what I was referring to earlier when I proclaimed him the 2022 WDC.

But but adjusted for tire differential he was still slower than the red car.

Yea, I'm taking everything seen during testing with a grain of salt.

Even still, Haas has to be feeling good about themselves. Shedding the Mazepins seems to have rid them of being the most hated team on the grid. Bringing back Mag has brought them nothing but praise and positive PR. I know I went from not really caring how they do to hoping they have some positive success this season.

Best part of today was having Albon in the commentary box while GOATifi's car went up in flames. "We were struggling with rear tire temps, so we thought flames might help."

In my haste to make all things Ferrari I failed to point out how encouraging those late laps were for Haas. Even in a sandbagged session the fact K-Mag laid down a solid lap points to the idea Haas may not be a joke and can actually compete with the bottom end of the field and Kev will be a needed yardstick and possibly mentor for Schumacher the younger.

I have high hopes for haas this year.

They tanked all of last year putting their money into this new car.

If they don't score some points they need to just quit and sell to someone else.

I know it got bad reviews but I’m enjoying the hell out of it so far. Rainy and windy in Naples tomorrow so I’ll be watching more.
