So, all things being equal, then, you're saying the driver is immaterial. That's funny. I guess Bottas and Hamilton should have considered sitting and watching from the stands whilst the Mercedes cars went out on their own and lapped the field?

They did just that, and then mercedes sabotaged Russell for some stupid reason.

My response is yes if you got into F1 because of Netflix your opinion is worth less than someone who has watched say even 5 years.

Not bad actually, most people I know love the RB and Ferrari season so far and appreciate the mid-field. Not everyone here does but hell you'll love it or leave it.

Seen elsewhere comparing sizes of cars (supposedly scale models). FWIW

They don’t have to fit inside a trailer. After every race the car is completely dismantled and packed into containers for shipping.

So a bunch of new people should flood into a sport and change it because it doesnt fit their needs? Because the actual product isnt the same as a tv show?

I really dont get the hate to my comments, longtime fans of anything should have more say than someone who shows up out of the blue and wants to change things to fit their version.

I very much appreciate all the strategy and chess match aspects, even if someone wins by 9 seconds. That's where all this started, and my point is just the sport doesnt need to cater to the Netflix crowd.

You’re not talking about some new casual fans changing the sport FFS. You’re talking about people posting their opinion, right or wrong in your view, on a message board. I don’t agree that the sport should change either. But F1 wants more viewership and that’s what the Netflix show is doing. And I’m not afraid to admit I’m one. I enjoy the hell out of it and I don’t comment much in this thread because I’m still learning. But that’s just me personally. New fans shouldn’t feel like their opinion should be disregarded when they’re learning also. It’s a FORUM.

Oh great master of F1, forgive me for I did not realize that was what the guy said. I inferred him simply stating an opinion. I didn't see that he petitioned the FIA to change the rules to disallow for team orders.

Y'all heard it here: Nola Tiger LSU says you are less than human if you became a fan of F1 because of Drive to Survive. how dare you soil his great experience of discussion on the sport helped create and develop with Bernie Eccelstone. We should all listen to what he says before having a thought on anything F1.

See, I can also draw obscene and ridiculous conjectures based on someone's posts.

Trailers are used for the European rounds, the containers are used for the 'fly-away' races. You can see the Mercedes being unloaded with the transport tires on it here.
