Sainz has to be feeling better. Great run from him today.

That was impressive of Red Bull to reel in the pony.

Also impressive of Sainz to recover and get to 4th for the start tomorrow

RB is dialed in on this track. Full race, I think Perez catches Leclerc.

That was a pretty solid finish to a meh race.
I think Inwould enjoy this style more in person possibly. I swear I get dizzy with the camera work.

The sprint is more like a Nascar stage than qualifying with the 84 GP laps spread over 2 days.

I still don't like giving out points for something they only do 3 times a year but Max earned his points today.

Don’t care what anyone says, I wish they’d rearrange the weekends and have the sprint every race. Gives 3 high quality sessions to watch over the weekend.

Maybe keep Q as starting position in sprint and race, but to get a Quali Session, Short Race, and then Full Race is awesome.

The tire strategy didn't work out for Mag. His engineer said the tires should start showing around lap 15 and he still lost ground all the way to the end.

Kevin sounded a little deflated at the end. Said they just didn't have the pace.

Bottas has to have a huge smirk on his face finishing ahead of Hamilton AND Russell.

I don't remember them even showing the Mercs during the race.

A successful and exciting sprint race like this only makes it more likely that they'll add more in the future.

I was very much against it at first, but it does add excitement to the weekend.

Perez is a great wingman for RBR.

Sainz is also the perfect wingman for Ferrari.

Good thing that locked him up

This was my initial position, I didn't want bad luck in the sprint to kill someone's grid position for the main race. But then I realized that if you keep your qualy position for the main race, there's no incentive to finish the sprint race if you're too far away from sprint points. Expanding the points to P8 has mitigated this argument somewhat but not completely. With the excitement it brings to Saturday, I'm pretty OK with the sprint format now.
