Has anyone discussed how Rickie went from an exemption to possibly finishing 2nd but at worts T3?

It’s a joke of an exemption, but still huge up and down opportunity for Rickie here to get back in all the majors.

I’m trying to find the equivalent of what Phil is doing in other sports...is like like a 45-year-old role player MJ scoring 80 to win the NBA finals?

Rick’s storyline would get much more pub if not for Phil. Good to see him back in the mix. Interested to see him at The Open in July since he played so well there last time

It’s a good thing only 95% of golfers use F Bombs in the course

Rickie with about 15 feet to finish inside the Top 5.

You have vastly overrated this

But I would say Roger Federer winning titles at 37 years old in a sport that no one ever had someone else but in peak 20-25 year old range win a title

Yeah but Brady is still playing at an elite level. Phil dropped pretty far in the world rankings and hasn’t been terribly competitive

Ah. That’s a fair point.

Tom Watson is probably a good comparison in golf. Except 10 years younger.

Watching these idiots fold to a 50+ Phil is amazing.

Tbh, this isn’t the story that Greg Norman was in 2008, Tom Watson was in 2009, or Tiger in 2019... Phil has been very competitive in his late 40s

He's ranked 115th in the world currently

He’s been awful since Pebble in 2020 outside of the WGC in Memphis, and those are two courses he normally plays well on. This is shocking.

Also, shoutout Rahm with another backdoor top 10.

Backdoor top 10 will be on his gravestone

A 62 year old was in a playoff for the British Open in 2009

Tom Watson

Its not remarkable in any way

This is not a sport that requires any effort
