Larson had the best car up to those last 50-60 laps. Ross had a solid car during the 2nd half of the race. Lajoie also was solid and I was really hoping for a top 10.

Sounds like “The clash”(I hate that name and will always call it the Bud shootout) is moving to Los Angeles and will take place on a temporary track they’re going to build inside the LA Coliseum.

My thoughts exactly fellas. Jordan Bianchi says it’ll look like Bowman Gray Stadium.

So now we aren’t even going to do the Clash at Daytona?

Just don’t have the thing if we have to do this.

Way back it was called the Busch Clash, which was awesome.

And this is another example of Nascar throwing shite at the wall trying to find something that works.

The guys running the show are fricking clueless.

Except that was another really good race.

I’ve never been a Larson fan (and I have a special irrational hatred for fat Rick), but watching him race the last lap was pretty cool.

Gained some like for him this week.

Seems like it… But what was speed weeks like when the first race was at Riverside?

The Busch clash started in 1979. Like you mentioned, Riverside was the first race of the season and Daytona was the second. The clash took place in between those races up until 1982 when they move Daytona to the first races of the season. So it was Riverside, the Busch Clash, and then the Daytona 500.

Sounds like Gateway is getting a cup race and Pocono is losing one.

Nascar struggles to put on a good show at many tracks that are built specifically for stock car racing, but go on and keep destroying the sport and racing in places that don’t give a shite about it.

I’ve decided that I’m only watching on TV anyway so doesn’t matter to me.
Too much trouble to go and factoring in rain makes it a no for the most part.
Although I pondered going to Vegas (no rain) l in 2 weeks. But not spending $500 on a plane ticket.
Phoenix maybe?
