If German is cleared I don't see it, they have Montgomery coming back, Severino, Happ, Paxton, Tanaka, German, Cessa, Loiasaga, Adams, and Abreu....
I could see them making additions to the bullpen but outside of Cole I couldn't see them making a pitch. I feel the team only has real decisions on Didi and Gardner.

Jason Heyward (30, 1.9) -- can opt out of 4 years, $86 million remaining on contract
Yes please

Astros fans have already moved on to the offseason

If you are referring to Ryno, that is just his schtick, he isn't serious

I knew that Heyward contract was bad but good grief 4 more years the Cubs are on the hook for. What an albatross that is.

With how the fanbase has taken the last 24 hours, and considering we still haven't locked Friedman up so who knows if someone else will be in charge, I wouldnt be surprised to see us actually throw our weight around for the first time since the winter of 2012 and make some major move. Like for rendon or cole or just go all the frick in on a mookie trade even if it doesn't make sense

Nah.... Certainly not Rendon with Turner, Cole maybe but they would need to send someone out and it means losing Ryu

There is legit pressure on the organization to make a major move for the first time since the greinke signing. If we get the same offseason as these past two, people are going to revolt
I think yall know how I feel about moves like these, but I cant help but worry the FO is going to have their hand forced. It's been a really bad day, worse than it's ever been after a postseason exit

I mean outside of Cole and possibly Strasburg there is no difference maker out there and both would cost 25+ a year

It will be something. That's all I can guess

I can't see the Dodgers doing it, maybe a trade for so long like Ray but not a signing.

Are a decent four, need to replace Hill/Ryu

For the first time, its unarguable that Roberts blew the game last night.

Eh, hes made mistakes. But last night was the first time he truly blew a game by putting players in positions to fail
The only thing that really comes close is the Darvish debacle
