NASCAR America starts at 8 on NBCSN. I don't know if is a canned show or live since the race was moved to Monday.

What’s eerie is the situation with Fox this year vs. 2001. Both times they were on a quick off and had to leave quickly after the race without providing updates. In 2001, the race ran long due to a red flag.

I just walked in from work. Someone give me a quick run down.

So he was in the lead, wrecked crossing the line, and it appears very very bad.

Am I missing anything?

Yep, it's not only the plate tracks.

Racing is dangerous. Just not nearly as dangerous as it used to be.

I’m really praying that we see something saying he’s ok on the ticker and we don’t need a press conference. My gosh

I hope that’s true. It looks to be 30 minutes old. You think we would have heard more.

He wasn’t in the lead when he crossed the finish line. 4th I believe.

For those asking:

Newman was in 2nd on the final restart. He was pushed by Ryan Blaney to the lead on the last lap. Coming through the tri-oval to the checkered flag, Blaney went low to attempt a pass, Newman (still in the lead) blocked and they made contact. New spun, flipped and was hit by Corey LaJoie.

Yeah, well Hamlin's a tool so I'll allow it.
