Is it really crazy to say that in order for a good team to be elite that they need to win games against interior talent? I mean I'm just saying they can't be what they want to be if they blow series against teams like the reds year after year.

It’s baseball, everyone is basically 60-60 to start out, shite happens and every team has major leaguers. It’s May 17th for god’s sakes.

Does the rotation matter if they can't hit consistently? 17 and 14 runs followed by multiple shutouts and 1-2 run games? Sheesh

I agree it’s a concern but I think the starter getting shelled wears on the offense mentally and they don’t produce quite as well as they would if the game were more competitive

That’s why I’d rather see Martinez back in the rotation. It’s like the whole front office have been brainwashed how good he was in the rotation just 2-3 years ago. Rotation is junk right now. Bullpen is easier to piece together. And why is Carpenter still hitting leadoff? Time to drop him and elevate Fowler or Wong there.

You aren’t wrong and the front office knows that but the thought is that his body can’t hold up to a starters work load and we’d rather have him out of the pen than not at all

wondering if it is a former or current teammate, that would explain the extended absence. Sad situation whichever way one looks at it.

Huh...and people assumed Ben was as he's a pro athlete and because they're always on the road.

Welp, can't play the circle game at Wrigley but you can tell Bryce Harper he's number one:

Keep getting skull fricked by the Rangers and Royals.

Did the schedule even out yet? Or are we still using that excuse for being in the cellar of the division.

I mean you've been playing the Reds and Nats, so no. It will even out when we get to play Miami 6 times.

Yeah maybe then the Cards can drag their nuts out of fourth place and maybe jump the Pirates.

Reds aren’t a bad team, just can’t find a stretch where the pitching and hitting both show up.
