But it’s getting harder and harder for teams like CHS and STM to find non district opponents

One the issues for CHS is that they don’t really want to schedule other Division I teams because the division is so small so there is a likely chance you would play them in the playoffs (already play McKinnely in district).

Hence why they play Division II powers.

For a Catholic team that’s beaten STM every time they’ve played recently, it would be weird to be scared. Not sure I believe your source but who knows?...

If you were at last year’s game you’d understand why...

It’s why few to none non district games are between selects of same division

Needless to say it was a great atmosphere and a great win for the Lions. McMain parents were fighting in the street after the game. They were not happy

Like 53-42 Catholic. And STM scored most of their points in the first quarter.

STM was up 29-7 in no time.

CHS turned it on in the 2nd half and STM could not stop them.

Oh, so CHS won last year too? That’s why they’re scared?

defensive slugfest next week when Bro. Martin takes on Rummel

Should be a great game... I was a little concerned about Rummel’s offense... But Wickersham is really coming along at QB...

Although Derome Williams is playing great.

Great RB. It sucks he fumbles so much though. I think he fumbled 3 times against Evangel and Im pretty sure I remember at least one against Longview. Wasn't there last night so don't know if he coughed it up any against Neville. I'm sure he get better at protecting it and if he does he will be an excellent back for WM.

If STM sucks compared to John Curtis, then so does Catholic. Y’all were extremely, extremely fortunate to escape with a win.

P.S. Nevermind. I was incorrectly addressing a comment that wasn’t even in this thread. I actually agree that Catholic was not scared to schedule STM.

Being on this site for awhile, it’s hard to imagine something we won’t argue about.

My sources tell me after last year they didn’t want any part of stm’s Offense again. But they had an open date on their schedule and couldn’t find anyone that would play them. So they contact Hightower and he said we’d play but you gotta come here.

that’s Lafayette baw noise. Catholic scheduled Karr, U high, and the defending Arkansas 7a state champs and you actually believe they were scared to schedule STM? They schedule the best to get ready for the playoffs because the regular season doesn’t matter anymore.

i would think teams schedule like that because the district teams they normally play don't challenge them enough
