chs should have known better than to give a 10 yard cushion to all of the stm wideouts on every play all night long.

I agree. This blew my mind.

WM just flat out man-handled Neville, I was expecting a closer game.
Neville didn't even belong on the same field as WM.

Neville was out-coached, out-played, out everything.

Neville definitely has talent all over the field, lots of dropped passes, missed assignments, dumb penalties...
Neville players looked scared as WM was laying them out all night.

WMs O-Line won that game last night, they were opening up huge holes all night. They wore the Neville defense out.

The new WM QB has progressed by leaps and bounds, and was reading the option extremely well.
I thought when Kahman went out earlier this year, the season for WM was going to be cut short.

Big FB, Caden Pierce(LSU baseball commit) was huge in the game, blocking, caught a TD pass and pounding the Neville defense.

People were saying Neville had several starters out, well WM does too.

WM is going to be a serious contender for state again this year in football.

kudos to Catholic for scheduling big games during the season.

Why do you think CHS came to stm 2 years in a row?

My sources tell me after last year they didn’t want any part of stm’s Offense again. But they had an open date on their schedule and couldn’t find anyone that would play them. So they contact Hightower and he said we’d play but you gotta come here.

I don’t know why they wouldn’t want to play again, they won last year too.

They were afraid of winning 5 in a row. Same for Zachary. So they scheduled Karr, North Little Rock and the 1 team they hadn’t been able to beat instead.

I didn’t really believe it either until he explained that’s why they were coming to Lafayette again.

I know for a fact that the Neville/STM game was scheduled because neither team could find a willing opponent on that date.

This

Starting QB, #1 CB and FS for West Monroe were out. And the preseason projected starting running back has been hurt all year. Had his first carry of the year last night, for 30 yards, in clean up duty.

For a Catholic team that’s beaten STM every time they’ve played recently, it would be weird to be scared. Not sure I believe your source but who knows?...

Your sources don’t know shite.

The reason CHS went two years in a row to STM is because three seasons ago, CHS’s schedule got messed up and would have only played four home games, so CHS and STM ADs agreed to play 2017 at CHS (two in a row in BR) and play 2018 and 2019 at STM. They are playing again next year in BR.

Was he #5? I think his name is Sanders.
He is quick as a cat.
Get him back in the line-up and WM is going to be hard to stop,

Like I said, I kind of questioned it too. But when he explained the 2 years in a row deal, it kind of made sense.

CHS and stm have played 9 times now. STM won the first 4 and CHS has won the last 5.

Yeah, that’s salty STM fans mad they lost again. I don’t think Catholic High is scared of anybody. We are trying to become a bigger national/regional brand so we are looking for matchups against elite teams.

Is that what’s going on? Looks like we’re trying to go out of state at least once a year now which is great.

Given what’s going on with the LHSAA, it’s going to become more common with better private schools.

Yeah, I think coach fertitta is trying to get better games, which gets better practice, and attracts better players. All in the name of toppling the Curtis machine one day.

Central and Dutchtown are both 5-0.

Either team have a chance to make some real noise?

FWIW this was told to me before stm lost Friday.

But it’s getting harder and harder for teams like CHS and STM to find non district opponents. I think that’s why you’re starting to see more out of state games. Hightower said even the stm feeder middle schools are having to travel as far as BR just to find teams that will play them.
