Not a bad game. Hard to be upset about losing, as the Caps took 6 points off the Penguins last year, gaining at least one point in every game, and we see where that got them. So beating them in the regular season hasn't meant much, so need to fret about it this year. Just play well, which they did, overall.

Pretty even game at evens, but man... Caps committed way too many penalties. Every Penguins goal was on the power play, and they had SIX PP chances on the game, all of them in the first two periods. Caps dug their own hole and couldn't get out of it. You can't spend 12 of the first 40 minutes on the kill and expect to have any success, particularly against a good team.

Djoos looked good in his debut, so that was cool. And Trotz seems to realize both Ness and Chorney suck, severely limiting their minutes, and letting Djoos play with actual competent NHL players. We're one step closer to Djoos-Bowey on the main roster. Which is a positive step.

Alex Ovechkin already has EIGHT GOALS.

most forwards won't get close to that number until November.

NJ doing into Toronto and outclassing the Leafs was nice to see. This NJ team could be dangerous

It's so nice having Kris Letang back, you don't realize how much you miss a high end 2 way defensive player like that. Still amazes me we won a cup without him, and his main replacement ended up being Ron fkn Hainsey .

The Pens have always been a much better team with Letang in the lineup.

The Devils potentially being good is scaring me. Toronto has been killing fools, and the Devils beat them at their own game, getting into a high-paced scorefest. Previously, they've won by mucking it up, but winning a game against a great team in that fashion puts everyone on notice.

Not only does Ovi have 8 goals, Kuzy leads the NHL with 8 assists. Those two together is just sick right now.

How crazy is it that Victor Hedman has never played an Olympic game. Leaving him off Sweden in 2014 Sochi is legit one of the dumbest hockey decisions of all time.

Preds starting to look like the Preds again. The Cup was such a HUGE deal and heartbreak, it felt like there was no offseason in Nashville.

The stars just attacked in the zone for like 4 uninterrupted minutes against the full strength Preds. no goals of course

Yotes invent new ways to lose each night... tonight a shorthanded goal with 3 mins left after they are an inch away from taking the lead. Just brutal. Raanta's hurt which means more Louis Domingue with his 3.97 gaa and .885 sv %. Let in 2 he should've had tonight.

Tell me it will get better and were not talking about moral victories and development by Decemeber...
