Yeah but he was always the first off the bench to high five the team after timeouts. You can't teach that level of leadership.

Just to be clear, I was booing because I wanted him, not because it was a bad pick.

We are hearing reports from Laredo and Santa Rita that the Spurs are having trouble with Border Patrol getting their top choices good luck charms to clear customs. But don't worry I have it on good authority that Jingle Jangles help with luck

Now to Whitey Bulgers Bar and Grill for a report on the Celtics

With the 17th pick in the draft the Memphis Grizzlies select Wade Baldwin from Vandy. 6'3" combo PG that provides some Conley insurance, but can also play with him thanks to his 6'11" wingspan. Shot 40% from 3 at Vandy.

His favorite player is Westbrook so I already love him.

quote:

When I tell him that I don't think anyone is going to top Westbrook athletically, he quickly interjects.

"But I'm gunning for it, though. I'm coming for him, though."

And believe it or not, according to the combine numbers, he's there. Not only did Baldwin measure slightly taller and with a much longer wingspan (6-foot-11½ compared to Westbrook's 6-foot-7¾), but he actually tested better on the vertical (32-inch standing and 38-inch max, compared to a 30-inch standing and 36½-inch max for Westbrook) and in every other test besides the three-quarter-court sprint.

quote:

Offensively, the first thing that jumps out on Baldwin, both on his stat sheet and when watching film,
is his perimeter shooting, as he's made 40.6% of his 199 three-point attempts during his two seasons in college. He's most prolific as a shooter off the catch, where he shot 42% on the season and over 43% when left unguarded, both numbers which, when accounting for the fact that the vast majority of those attempts were from three-point range, were well above average, yielding 1.246 and 1.267 points per shot, respectively, according to Synergy Sports Technology.

Very nice pick. I was hoping Baldwin would drop to #24 so I could pick him

I think Sabonis has the highest floor of the bugs in this draft excluding Ben Simmons. He'll be a top notch rebounder in a few years once he puts on NBA muscle and his defense is already solid. His floor is pretty much a more fluid Asik or what was supposed to be Asik when he arrived in New Orleans. His ceiling maybe not superstar, is probably a Marc Gasol/Pau Gasol hybrid.

The best thing on the menu is either the Ted Williams head shaped chicken nuggets with Tom Brady Chips, as there's not much air in the bag.
