I mean even if it's a small window I think a hole should award you for a great shot and not have you shooting for high grass for the best approach. That's just me. I don't care either way. I do enjoy the challenge

They do award great shots. People birdied from all sorts of places between laying up and going for it. Also an eagle was made.
If you have to go to the long grass, it isn't the "best approach" then most likely. You have to choose different shots. Not every hole should be driver-high wedge to the pin.
#10 is one of the best holes on tour.
