Big name free agents are obviously interested in the Lakers because the last three years, they are one of the first stops FA's make. But whatever is happening in these presentations is just a disaster. I wish TMZ would get someone to sneak video of one of them. I would love to see that

In the case of LMA they were apparently selling him on tradition and not on how they are going to win right now.

amazing deal for monroe

if he balls out he can leave in 2 years to get a "new max" deal on the market

if he's tepid, he opts-in and keeps his bird's rights. that way the bucks can keep him or deal him with those rights

he's basically setting himself up to get super paid in the new cap while still getting max money now. bravo

I love having a Marc Gasol tab opened on my tweetdeck. Random Knicks and Lakers fans popping up talking about how they should sign him despite him publicly saying he wouldn't consider either of them.

You forgot Monroe in your depth part

MCW/Gravy
Middleton/Mayo
Greek Freak/Dudley
Parker/Henson
Monroe/Plumlee

Mayo is the only guy out of those 10 that is 6'5 or under...

I'm a fan of Marc but signing him would make zero sense for LA even if it were a realistic option.

I'm just really hoping Buss doesn't double down on this and start overpaying mid level guys For the sake of signing someone.

Monroe met with 4 teams: Bucks, Knicks, Lakers, Blazers. All offered the max, I'm told. Chose Bucks because they're the most playoff ready.

That lineup is tailor-made to win an NBA championship in my opinion. I'm not sure JKidd can get them there, but it may be a warriors situation where they have to bring In another coach to get them over the hump.
