The Spurs with LMA are the favorites next year, IMO

Disagree, if you're LMA you get what one maybe 2 years of Pop and Duncan and then what? He'll likely be on a worse team than one he's leaving in POR.

I agree that long term it wouldn't be a great option, but next year they would be my title favorite for sure.

Not seeing it Tbh. We're talking about a team who couldn't beat the notoriously soft LA Clippers in rd 1 this year. Aldridge doesn't make them tougher. Spurs are done. Pop/Duncan won't win another title.

The Rockets missed the boat with Bosh last season, he would have been the perfect fit (I'm aware that he got injured at the end of the season).

You and I have different definitions of injured.

I like how it worked out. I honestly think the Rockets could win it all with a couple of good moves, patience, and a little luck.

To be fair to D12 he went up against Chandler, Jordan, and Bogut 3 pretty stout centers and he still lead the L in rebounds per game in the playoffs at 14. Oh yea, he had the most blocks in the playoffs too.

You guys were one bad Chris Paul hammy/historic choke job away from losing to that same soft Clippers team

Don't act like there's that big of a gap between the Spurs, Rockets and Clippers last year

Well, whatever you want to call it. He wasn't able to play due to a health issue. Before that I think he was the perfect fit.

Series would've been over in 6 if Paul was healthy. HOU would've played better in game 1.

there wasn't but the Rockets and Clips are heading one direction, the Spurs are heading the other going into next season.

LAC HOU OKC GSW are pretty clearly the top 4 in the West these days.

Yeah. That sounds right. Clippers losing DeAndre will hurt though, even with the additions of Stephenson and probably Pierce. Where is the rim protection?

clippers losing a great big man and the Spurs gaining one would change that balance of power. I expect the thunder to be great but there's still a lot of question marks there.

Did anyone see that Memphis is inquiring about Joe Johnson? Could be a career reviver.
