For the capologists out there: How will the cavs be able to sign LeBron this year after everyone else is already signed? I feel like I'm wrong, but I didn't know you could sign a guy off the street once you were above the tax line?

He isn't off the street. They still have his bird rights. Once you are above the tax line you can pretty much only use MLE, Vet mins, and re-sign your own players. And trades.. of course. Can't do any Sign and Trades though.

When posters say things like Harden is a glorified Kevin Martin, I have to lean the other way.

I get that, and there is a ton of hate on the Rockets here so I get you defending them. But as someone who has no bias either way, you can definitely come off with a bias. It's not as bad as Boom, or most Pels fans, but it's definitely still there.

worst poster ever. I remember when he was trying to argue that Drew Brees is a 'system quarterback,' he resorted to making up a statistic to prove his case. I don't mean making up a number, I mean the statistical category was something that didn't exist or wasn't recognized by anyone. Wish I could remember what it was.

I'm pretty sure I was in that thread and boomed the frick out of him. I didn't realize at the time that he was just a really dedicated troll.

He went full retard when he actually tried to argue Paul George was better than Lebron because he took harder shots.

I looked it up.

He'll actually be able to sign under what is called "non-bird" rights, which allows a team to resign their own free agent to 120% of their previous salary. Weird.

I haven't been really able to keep up. What have the Rockets done in FA so far? I just remember them signing a few of their own and missing out on Llull. Anything else?

I talk to my brother about the Rockets about once a week (he is actually a bigger fan than me), and I often preface my opinions with, "I would never admit this on TigerDroppings, but..."

That's it so far. Third best team in the league will automatically improve thanks to health of Beverley and D-Mo in addition to chemistry, but we still need to find a point guard or combo guard in my opinion.

Yeah, I would tend to agree. They definitely need a combo guard. Other than that they really didn't need to do a whole lot to stay a 2nd Round/WCF team.

I know Harden got a ton of shite for the 13 turnover game, but I can't say this enough. Very few guards would be forced to remain the primary ballhandler when they were having that off of a night. We just had nobody else who could create at all. Prigioni and Terry. Josh Smith was our second best playmaker.

After the Aldridge move, I agree. Sucks that you can improve in this league and be jumped by teams. I'm interested to see how the Thunder rebound. And how the Warriors defend their title.

who is getting Gerald Green? that's my question. He's a guy who's gotten better as he's gotten older and a useful bench guy...on the right team he is a sixth man of the year candidate.

Heat are linked to him
Pacers and Mavs seem like fits.

Heat are rumored to be going after Jamal Crawford as well.

Also, how about JJ Reddick publicly ripping the Clipps offseason?

For the record, it was a 12 turnover game. One turnover was wrongly credited to him and the NBA corrected it the next day.

I would love getting Green on the Mavs. We need a 6th man, insta-scorer but we don't have the money, so it would have to be a vet minimum, unless we miss on acquiring Lin

I doubt the Clippers will do anything with Redick. Even with saying that, you don't get rid of a nearly 44% 3-point shooter last season. If they want, the Mavs can work a S&T for Jordan to give them some cap room and take this "knucklehead" off their team as well

Beverly and D-Mo will make a world of difference in the playoffs.

I'm not saying it really makes a difference... I'm just being informative.
