Giving what and to get what?

I wish the Hornets could get Faried.

Trade exception expires on July 1, not like they are going to use it anyway.

no idea saw it from WOJO. there's no feasible way to get one without dealing CP3 which isn't happening until the season
quote:

BLAZERS, MAGIC MULL DEALS: Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress reports today that the Blazers and Magic are discussing a swap that would send Andre Miller and the No. 21 pick to Orlando in exchange for Jameer Nelson. The salaries work straight up, so no other players need be included in this theoretical deal.

quote:

BOSTON GOES SHOPPING: ESPN.com's Chad Ford reports that Boston may be shopping the 25th pick, which makes some sense, considering the Celtics have a huge need for a usable big man, a $2.39 million trade exception stemming from the Marquis Daniels swap with the Kings and an apparent distaste for what they might be able to get at No. 25.

Teams try to dump picks all the time, especially in a shitty draft like this one.

Someone could be looking to dump a garbage expiring and give a pick along with it.

League sources now believe Jonas Valanciunas goes to Cavs at #4 even if Enes Kanter is still on the board. Story on the mothership shortly.

Woj lays out Thompson at 4, traded to Bobcats, who take Valanciunas at 9, then teams swap & Cavs pick up the 19th - but Detroit meddling.

Cleveland wants to draft 7-footer Jonas Valanciunas of Lithuania, but had a scenario where it could get him and also land the 19th overall pick belonging to the Bobcats, sources said. Charlotte has the ninth pick, and desperately wants Texas’ Tristan Thompson. The Bobcats believe that Thompson won’t get past Detroit with the eighth pick and need the Cavaliers to take him fourth. This way, Valanciunas, who may not be able to join the NBA until the 2012-13 season, would drop to Charlotte at nine, and owner Michael Jordan would trade Valanciunas – with the 18th overall pick – to the Cavaliers for Thompson.

Final, really crazy trade idea: Ariza, Jack and 2013 1st rounder to Utah for Okur and pick #12. Hornets could drft Jimmer & excite fans! ;)

Can you give me a breakdown of his game and how he would be a good addition to the Astros?

what??
terrible?

its not a trade that's great/horrible for either team, but not at all terrible.
I'd say Rudy Gay has a slight bit more value than Monta Ellis, but i see this trade making both teams better.

Rudy Gay would be a better mix with Steph Curry.

the Grizzlies proved they can play better without Rudy Gay, which makes Rudy expendable.
and Monta can flat out score.
add that to Z-Bo and Gasol inside, that would make for dangerous line-up.

Excellent raw power and the ability to play anywhere in the field

His glove is nothing special but his speed should more than make up for it

Damn, I'm going to miss Ariza, Fletch is usually 100% dead on with his predictions.

(I actually checked out his twitter just to make sure you were kidding, alas, you are not.)

Another gem:

He really wants to get rid of our second best player in the playoffs.
