Over/Under 3 missed 50 foot three pointers by Jimmer before CP chews him out like a bitch at midcourt.

-ESPN saying cavs trying to get another lottery pick by taking on a bad contract using their trade exception
This draft is beyond terrible, why any team would want more lottery picks is beyond me. Only player who could potentially make an impact is Derrick Williams.
Only rumors I've heard is that LA desperately wants Derrick williams and is willing to give up Odom and that PHX is seriously thinking about Iman Shumpert with the 13th pick. Shumpert is terrible.

Chad Ford says that Kyrie Irving's best comparison is Mo Williams and Derrick Williams compares best to Al Harrington. Great talents

I can't believe the draft is tonight. Least hyped draft ever. Understandable with the players in it.

Lakers' trade Lamar Odom to the Minnesota Timberwolves for their No. 2 pick.
Lakers trade Odom and artest to 76ers for Igoudala.
Monta Ellis to Lakers for Odom.
Clearly the lakers are looking for backcourt scoring help for Kobe.

I hate Duke, but i think Kyrie is gonna a pretty good NBA PG. I don't see him making Derrick Rose impact, but i wouldn't be surprised to see him get a handful of All-Star selections before he's done.
Williams? meh...
ETA: and by "handful," i'm talking like 3-4 all-star games... not 5+

I mean the best player played 9 games last year, the second best player is an undersized 4, and the third best player played in 0 games last year.
quality!

If the Cavs want to get back to actually winning some games then they need to pass on him and take Williams.

Those are terrible comparisons, but Harrington wasn't that bad, he just played like he didn't care and didn't rebound. Williams is more aggressive and we'll see about his rebounding, I think Kyrie and Williams end up much better than Mo and Harrington.

agreed. I like his game, always seemed to be under control. good size, good shooter, good (but not Wall/Rose-type) athlete.

2011 NBA draft day rumors
lets get a driveman projection of the top 5-10 players in this draft 5 years from now
you ASK and you shall receive brother. wont tell you who the haves are gonna be but the driveman has a pretty good idea who the have NOTS are. the eye in da sky dont LIE as the driveman says and there's a couple of rantards in this draft trying to hide in the corner like lebron in the 4th quarter
derrick williams - MARK MY WORDS don't see anything more than a poor mans josh smith. listened to his interviews and he doesn't have a killer instinct. will end up being the 3rd best player on a good playoff team
tristan thompson - could have used another year at TEXAS. he's not big enough to buck down low with NBA PFs and his jumper is garbage. no idea why he's projected to go so high. think jordan hamiltion will be a better pro
kawhi leonard -
kemba will be better than jimmer or brandon knight
best international - ENES KANTER
SLEEPERS: tobias harris, JIMMY butler
HORNETS PICK: ANDREW GOUDELOCK, PG/SG, CoC

* Are you keeping up with everything? I'm not. But I can tell you that the Cavaliers are among the many teams aiming to make a deal. The good news for fans: Even if the Cavs don't make any trades, they should still be getting two pretty good players with the Nos. 1 and 4 picks.
* The talks with Washington seem to be very real. The supposed deal? The Cavs trade the fourth pick to the Wizards for the sixth and 18th. It may not happen until both teams see if Turkish center Enes Kanter is still on the board at No. 4. That is who the Wizards want.
* Trading down would make sense for the Cavs. They wanted three first-rounders, and that would be the best way to do it. They could still get a nice shooting guard or small forward at No. 18.
* Meanwhile, ESPN is reporting that the Cavs are trying to get a third LOTTERY pick -- and that they are willing to take back a bad contract from Detroit or Sacramento to do it.
* Back to Kanter. Since late Wednesday, there has been plenty of talk that he'll go either second or third to Minnesota or Utah, respectively. One GM called that a major smokescreen, saying that Kanter will still be there for the Cavs' fourth pick.
* What we do know is the Cavs are among the two or three most active teams in trade talks. What will come of it, of course, is anyone's guess. It appears no one deal is closer than the other. Right now, everything is at the discussion stage. Some are more serious than others.
* Moving on, New York is apparently enamored with both Jimmer Fredette of BYU and Klay Thompson of Washington State. Word is, the Knicks do not want include second-year guard Landry Fields in any deal. But they might if pressed, sources say.
* Illustrious college basketball analyst Dick Vitale has Cleveland State guard Norris Cole going 26th to world champion Dallas.
* Portland is desperately hoping to trade Andre Miller today. Atlanta appears to be a likely landing spot. Hawks could send back Josh Smith, with other players and picks involved.
* Houston has had discussions with Detroit, aiming to move the 14th and 23rd picks for the eighth. Could happen after Detroit actually picks somebody.
* San Antonio can deny it all it wants, but there is truth to the Tony Parker rumors. The Spurs want to move into the lottery, and Parker is their best shot. And would anyone be freaking out if they decided to finally make some changes -- especially after losing to Memphis in the first round of the playoffs.
