Another good stat for you, everyone is showing the Astros home and road BA splits in the postseason as some sort of gotcha. The Yankees splits home and road are even more outrageous. The Yankees hit .250 at home and .176 away. For comparison the Astros hit .273 home .208 away.
This is just for all the national media who are pointing to this one stat by the Astros as some crazy smoking gun, who at the same time ignoring that this is a common trend.
Maybe one day Chapman, sabathia and the rest will quit crying and admit they got beat by a better team.

The Astros hit 18 postseason homeruns at home and 9 on the road. Same number of games.
The Astros had an OPS that was nearly .230 points higher at home than the road that post season.
All you retards that think this is all just some tin foil hat conspiracy or that cheating didnt really help are delusional as frick

So upset about them using video equipment. It's funny.

Who is upset?
They cheated. That was proven. They got caught. It helped them in some way.
They still won the World Series.

Everyone constantly posting about the Astros.

Yankees ops was 282 higher at home in the same postseason.
I'm not saying that they didn't cheat. I'm arguing that people pointing to their stats as some sort of gotcha that their cheating made a huge difference are ignoring the fact that most teams perform better at home and have similar splits.
I'm also arguing that these Yankees players and fans that are crying about the fact that they would have won the series are ignoring the fact that teams rarely win a series when they scored 3 runs in 4 games.
Like Chapman crying about altuves walkoff and blaming it on cheating when he should be blaming himself for throwing a high 84 mph slider that didn't move to a high ball hitter. Or he should blame his offense for not giving them a chance.

I'm not arguing your point or trying to infer to what degree the cheating helped. But the above is a very very inaccurate statement. Home and road splits are not typically 230 points apart. That is very unusual.

Not really, people post links from what is happening in baseball. We have a few Yankees/Dodgers fans on this site and it has been mainly a few select Astro fans and posters of teams I don't know keeping the threads going.
Do people really not expect a article or so about the cheating to not be posted? Does someone bringing it to this board mean they are "upset?"

Calling Astros fans trashy for taking up for their team is definitely "upset".
And idiotic.
And idiotic.

We aren’t defensive and insecure. Nope
Posted on 2/15/20 at 10:06 am to FulshearTiger
It may be unusual, but it happened in the same series with the other team. Happened this year with the Ray's. They had a 500 point difference home and away
Also happened to the 2017 Nationals. So that's 3 teams in 1 postseason that had huge ops splits
It's such a small sample size that pointing to any 1 stat and saying "look at that, cheating clearly helped them win" is ignorant. That's my point.

I’m still mystified that a code from a banging trash can could be of much help in the few seconds between the sign and the pitch.
But it’s still cheating, I guess.

You are seriously confused on how a hitter knowing a 98 mph fastball vs a 90 mph slider can be advantageous?
How long do you think it takes to process that information?

The way some "fans" are acting is idiotic and trashy, it cuts both ways
Posted on 2/15/20 at 10:22 am to tduecen
Not really. The hate from the other fans is much worse than anything the Astros fans have done.
Posted on 2/15/20 at 10:23 am to noonan
Uh... There have been several threads with Astro "fans" starting the shite talking and melting about it before some random poster has said anything.
So no it is not "much" worse

What's really funny is if this were flipped around you would not see anywhere near the current blowback from Houston and their fans about it. We don't always have to make excuses for the other team being better.
Posted on 2/15/20 at 10:27 am to cramps
Do we need to bump the Cardinals hacking thread where Astros fans trolled non-stop?
Posted on 2/15/20 at 10:27 am to tduecen
Sticking with their team amidst all the hate. There's only so many times you can be called trash or pieces of shite before you start hitting back.
The Astros fans definitely did not start hitting first.

Astros fans are just as guilty of spewing the hate, they've been doing it on this board awhile. They've just gotten more "lifelong" fans since 2017.
