Making a phone call to ask if a pitch was a ball or strike??? That's absolutely not comparable and if you believe that then it won't help for us to keep talking about it

Also, please show me where the Yankees did something comparable to that. Not your opinion. Give me something real. Same way I haven't been up in arms about the buzzer allegation.

Just an FYI Chris young admitted that the Yankees started the apple watch stuff and he brought it to the Red Sox and Beltran brought the stuff to the Astros because “their sign stealing was way behind the times”

I really don’t care anymore but don’t try and act all high and mighty.

You can even go back to whitey Ford to find the Yankees cheating.

The Astros just finally decided to play the game and then beat the Yankees arse twice in the alcs while doing it.

Bro, give it up on the Yankees. I agree with you in that most of these Astros fans are douchebags, but Beltran telling the astros that their sign stealing game is behind the times clearly implicates that the Yankees did the shite in some form or fashion. No, they have not been caught yet, but they definitely are doing something similar to Houston.

I know facts aren't very popular in these threads, but...

quote:

MLB concluded that Young and the Red Sox were using Apple Watches to convey sequences during games that year -- and that there were no credible allegations about the Yankees doing the same when Young and Carlos Beltran were on the team.

quote:

Prior to his time in Boston, Young played for the Yankees from late 2014 until the end of the 2015 season. According to a person briefed on MLB's investigation, he told the league that he and his Yankees teammates would study video before games of pitchers' sequences. They would then use that information when on base to convey a sign to the batter.
The Yankees were never accused of using an Apple Watch, and MLB was never asked to investigate that.

quote:

According to the source, MLB also found that Young and other Yankees did look at sequences in the replay room during games, and convey them verbally or in person to the dugout. This was not illegal at the time.
As the source put it, "When Young went to Boston, the Red Sox took what the Yankees were doing, which was legal, and basically put it on steroids." The "steroids" in this case were not performance-enhancing drugs, but an Apple Watch that took the process to another level.

Also worth noting:
quote:

Unlike the Houston Astros' trash-can scheme, the Red Sox did not typically have the exact pitch, according to a person in the dugout that year. They had sign sequences, and needed a runner on base for their method to work. On that team, Young was viewed as a leader who helped others learn the hidden languages of the game.

This doesn't matter. I know that's not what you highlighted, but it illustrates how people think the Astros got busted for stealing signs.

Misuse of technology is the case for both the Astros and the Yankees and the red Sox.

That's quite literally where the similarities end. The Astros went a ridiculous distance beyond that.

Yeah I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that both of them go to new teams and they become the “sign guru”.

Listen like I said don’t care won WS. Made two in 3 years. Meanwhile Yankees fans just have whining to keep them warm at night

Y'all have posted nothing but your biased opinions. I've posted facts.
And I don't wanna hang shite up that wasn't earned. There's plenty banners in Yankee stadium as is.

Meanwhile, you have offered nothing of substance to this thread

Dude, I’m at least hours late getting to this party after a windy, wet round on the course, but you are a pussy bitch that makes me warm inside, knowing how all these years of Yankee failure make you feel

Multiple sources told SNY that Young was a leader of what became the Red Sox Apple Watch scheme in 2017. One eyewitness laid out how it worked: Early in the season, Young gathered teammates and taught them how to decode a catcher's sequences. This served as a team-bonding exercise, and many Red Sox got into it.

Perhaps circumstantial but it clearly points to people who left the Yankees and directly implicated as the ring leader in the following year in electronic sign stealing scandals.

This is nothing new for the Yankees though as whitey Ford readily admits to cheating so I’m assuming you will readily put some asterisk on yours as you are the bastion of baseball morality police

Purely circumstantial

The Yankees were never accused and the league has not been asked to investigate them.

That said, I do appreciate you making an effort finally
