i know... what a let down. the bats have been so bad this year. the team has yet to hit a hr. yeah, no one has gorilla ball, but when you're 12 games into the season and have yet to hit a hr, that stat stands out. that and the overall team batting average. btw, jackson state pitched their ace (or statistically their ace). Artigues got ejected as well.

I'm sure they'll have a good record again this year, but they'll probably end up missing out on postseason play.

It doesn't look like any team, other than the Tournament Champion, from the Southland Conference ever makes a Regional. Southeastern has been pretty solid over the last few seasons, though.

This is probably for a new debate in a new thread, but I hate the way the conference tourneys in college baseball and basketball carry more weight than the regular season

Sorry, but no and not even close. LSU has much better pitching and will hit just as good as BAMA. Have seen our games against both, and the Tigers are better than the Tide. I still think Arkansas will win the west but LSU should be in the top 3 for sure.
