Most impressive team in state so far, that's what this thread is about. LSU's 5 runs were a lot more impressive than Tulane's goose egg.

Much much smaller than usual and slow ... Not much pop at the plate ... Of course all that can be overcome by great pitching ...

They just took 2/3 from Alabama and beat the hell out of Southeastern. I guess you can find out more about them after this weekend. They've got Wichita State.

No. They may be better than last year but they are a bubble NCAA team at best ...

ETA : alabama is better than LSU ... IMHO ... The records may not reflect it at this point but they will have a better SEC record than LSU...

Wow this thread will certainly be revisited this season. I can't believe you just typed that, I now feel much better about you being down on LSU!

I follow both teams closely and LSU is better than Tulane. They both will win with their pitching. Leblanc hasn't looked dominate so far and Mapes has struggled. Massey has looked really good. Byo pitched well the last two weeks and I believe he will eventually be the Sunday guy. The bullpen I don't think is as good as advertised. Fucundus is really good IMO. I'm not sold on Ponder yet at all, he is pitching with confidence though. Tulane is going to struggle hitting good pitching, Eades and Gausmann would shut Tulane down also. Also Alabama is not better than LSU, they don't have the starting pitching to win low scoring games against Gausmann and Eades.

Why? Bama has had a better SEC record than LSU the last two seasons.. This year will be no different ... It is very evident after watching both teams lay .. I will put my posting privileges on it.

Bama looking strong again tonight, getting smoked by a 5-6 Auburn team.

Just telling youthat they gave more talent than LSU and I assume that will relate to better conference record as it has the last couple of years ..

how do you know they have more talent?

they are hitting .268 as a team against a weak schedule

but they will turn it on in SEC play i guess
