Shane Battier was on that 02 team as well. Brand is what the 99 team had that the 02 team didn't though. However the 02 did win the National title so they are out of this.

Actually, he wasn't on that team. Maryland won the 02 title.

Battier was on the 01 team with Duhon, Boozer, Dunleavy, and Jayson Williams.

Correct, except its Jason Williams. Jayson was the idiot who killed the limo driver with a shot gun accidentally, not to be confused with Jason "White Chocolate" Williams.

Thanks for clearing the names up, that 01 Duke team was a truly complete team.

Jesus Christ, I don't know what I was thinking. For some reason I got 01 mixed up with 02 when I saw it mentioned. That 02 team would have lost to the 99 team. I actually think the 99 team was better then any other Duke squad except for 92.

We played Duke the closest during tourney until UConn got them. They were just so good outside, we had no shot.

99 Duke was much better. I actually think Arizona was the better team in 01, they just blew that game against Duke. That Arizona team was loaded

I was talking about that game just earlier today with a guy who was there when Steve Alford was coaching.

We were sitting on bench thinking hey were keeping it close. AP played like a man that whole tourney.

Two of the best teams not to win the NCAA tournament in the last 15 years

2004 Kentucky that got outed by Dwyane Wade and Marquette was pretty good. A high-grade ankle sprain away from making a helluva run.

But from what you listed I'd go with 99' Duke.

but the 98' UNC team should have won the F4 that year as well, complete meltdown against an inferior Utah squad
Even if they had beaten Utah, they weren't beating the Jeff Sheppard pain train.
