Will be tough for any team in the league to hang with st George starting five . They have 2 elite players and if they both decide to go to catholic then Cascio will be licking his chops

The scourge of postponements began early as the Cougars @ Lions was postponed due to a positive test(s) on Stuart Avenue

Updated Rankings - Previous ranking in parenthesis:

1. St. George (1) - As expected, looking like an all time great team. Not as much depth as other all time teams, but one of the best starting 5's in recent history.

2. St. Jude (3) - Impressive win over St. Aloysius. Have a major injury that could cost them.

3. OLOM (2) - Have dominated most games, but did lose to CHS.

4. Holy Family (5) - Quietly putting together a nice season.

5. CHS (6) - Started out hot including a win over OLOM, but have dropped 2 in a row. Injuries have plagued them as of late.

6. St. Aloysius (4) - Have had the toughest schedule to date but picked up a nice win recently vs SJV.

7. St. Theresa (unr) - Impressive balance of front court and back court play.

8. MBS (unr) - Aggressive, well coached team.

Dropped from rankings:
St. Thomas More
St. Jean Vianney

Congrats to St. George for winning the Elite 8. They defeated OLOM 66-20 in championship game.

CHS defeated St. Jude 34-27 in the third place game.

Many CSAA historians including myself are calling this 2021 St. George team the best in CSAA/CSAL history. Better that SGS 97, STM 96, and SGS 2017.

The Final Standings based on Elite 8 finish compared to preseason rankings are as follows: (Preseason ranking in parenthesis)

1. St. George (1)
2. OLOM (2)
3. CHS (6)
4. St. Jude (3)
5. St. Aloysius (4)
6. MBS (unr)
7. Holy Family (5)
8. STM (7)

They went undefeated in 2013-14 and simply destroyed people. Would think they should be included in that conversation. Trent Schiller was a terrific player that went on to St. Michael.

Think you have to add St. Theresa back in there. Didn’t play the Catholic tournament because too many kids had baseball. Finished 5-3 with wins over Catholic, St. Jude and Aloysius. Three losses to George, Mercy & HF. I call foul!

Is it true the PG for St George went 10-12 from the 3 point line in the 1st half?

SGS 97,

They are the GOAT. I played against them, and they ran us off the floor 5 minutes in.

Respect

ETA: oops, it must have been ‘93
