Don’t think so. We play at 2pm. Not an ideal spot for huge ratings.

They will get more viewers from Europe compared to the 3AM start last Friday.

What soccer fans refuse to grasp is their constant need to push shite like this "seeee......look how many people watched!" is exactly why you get so much push back. Tennis fans, golf fans, lacrosse fans... whatever.....none of them constantly prattle on and on about how much everyone else should care about their sport. No other sport has fans that do that. Except soccer. And then you want to run dumb shite like this out here "hey look at us...we got as many viewers as the average college football game" and expect any one to fricking care.

If you like the sport, that's great. No one else fricking cares...shut the frick up already about how much the rest of us should care. We don't. It's a shite sport. Move on.

Uh, the ratings of majors sports like soccer are regularly posted on here.

NFL, CFB, MLB, NBA, etc.

This is just normal behavior for sports fans of the major sports in America.

To absolutely no one's surprise, the first response is the boards known liberal douchebag incessant devils advocate arguer. It's about more than just talking about the ratings, but you already knew that. I'm sure you'll come up with some other dumbass smug retort in attempt to conflate and obfuscate. You're a running joke on these boards for a reason.

Sports ratings get posted on here all the time. Your entire argument about soccer fans pushing could be flipped to non fans like yourself having this weird insecurity about others discussing and enjoying the sport.

I mean NFL and CFB ratings are posted all the time for the same reasons against the same sort of virtue signaling (remember the dumbasses who thought the NFL was going to suffer after the 2020 protests who still bring it up and get consistently owned by ratings annually? Pepperidge Farm remembers). Typically the point of posting ratings on a sports message board is bants, either (1) someone who hates the sport posting low ratings to say how unpopular it is or (2) someone who likes the sport posting high ratings to make fun of people in #1.

This guy's random melt was so cringe.

So You prefer your men to be much larger and on the more masculine side?

No, that’s not gay at all.

Did I miss something? I simply pointed out the US match last Friday was played at 3 in the morning Central Europe time. What about that invoked such anger from you?

About tho$e water break$:

The World Cup’s mandatory 3-minute “hydration break” is most devious ad unit invention since YouTube’s triple pre-roll back-to-back unskippable ad.

Across 104 matches, FIFA now has 624 minutes (10 hours) of new ad inventory.

That’s total of $500m potential new ad revenue that didn’t exist before (~$400k per 30-second slot).

Hydration breaks in previous year were called if heat/humidity crossed a threshold.

An estimated 200-250 million people watched Brazil vs. Morocco (Super Bowl is 130 million-ish, but still juiciest ad rates at $8m per 30 second spot).

WSJ says ad range start at $250k (early games) to $750k or more for top-attraction matches (eg US games) for 30-second slot
