Lowry might win this by Tigerish margins if he can keep it together.

At least now on most of the commercials they show the play through on the left side of the screen. If you miss an important shot while they are in a break you will see it on tape when they return.

But they do that more than ever before. It’s almost as if they can use it as an excuse to show more commercials.

This weather is brutal

Has the guy that was bitching about the R&A being a bunch of pussies for moving the times up "so the players can avoid the weather" posted lately?

Why? It has a chance to be an amazing course.

1. They should play it first before committing to hosting there every 5 years.

2. There are some amazing courses out there that people like seeing these guys play. Moving the PGA to May brings even more of those southern courses in to play.

Americans who are out of contention have got to be so fricking miserable right now. Freezing cold, raining, all your chances gone, that’s gotta suck

They have to pay a huge fee to the R&A to gain exclusive broadcast rights in the USA. Add the costs of production and it's probably a break even proposition. Commercials are one of the reasons why the players are playing for the huge purses.

Part of me agrees, but another part of me thinks some of the Americans want to play in this. Considering almost all of them are out of contention, they probably are relishing the chance to play in some true links golf weather.

Okay, we need to do something to make this interesting. Everyone drink whenever Azinger mentions Lowry's grips.

They're already scheduled to go to most of them.

There are dangers lurking on the course that could throw Lowry still. Really wish we had this weather yesterday; it would have made today much more entertaining.

Some Irish guy is running away with the Open at 8 am pacific time. I bet this is burning up the ratings.

Like I said, Lowry does nothing to push the needle and now we have a major championship nobody cares about.

It would be cool if the UPS man Lee Westwood would win one.

Finau is tied for third and I don't remember NBC showing one shot of his today.

He’s there by default. He’s not on a birdie binge. It’s just that everyone in front of him is going backwards.

In addition to whatever prize money he wins Portrush should pay Holmes for mowing their rough today.

I’m not opposed to Lowry getting the win. I’d just like to see things tighten up a little bit just to make a little drama. Lowry having an evening walk to the 18th green with the win long decided it not very fun

He’s just been awful today from the very start. Wasted spot. All he’s doing is slowing everyone down while he grinds out a well over par round.
