Ended up being 2 championships in 4 years. I would gladly take that if a Pels player said and did that.

Rooting against the Heat every June was the last time I truly enjoyed the NBA

Heat beat the Mavs without him and lost to the Mavs with him.

2-2 in the Finals and would’ve been 1-3 if not for Allen.

You're also neglecting to mention that they wouldn't have made it to any of the 4 finals without LeBron

I remember being at a big family vacation in Pensacola. At the time, I enjoyed watching him play and slightly rooted for his Cavs teams.

This announcement was instantly cringe and the moment he gained a lot of haters.

I only really pulled for his team again during the Cavs championship. Liked watching him play all those years but the decision led to pulling against his teams most of time.

LeBron was a very likable person during his 1st run in Cleveland. There was so much hype, and he played up to the hype. Even though LeBron donated the proceeds of he announcement show to charity, what he said really turned people against him. The Cleveland owner being so public about hatiing the decision was just piling on. He became a hated person overnight.

It's hard not to think about how most people would feel about him if he had stayed in Cleveland for most of his career. Cleveland would have never gotten Kyrie Irving in the draft, and I doubt they would have gotten free agents to come like Miami and LA have been able to do.

After he went back to Cleveland and won, I hoped he'd stay there, but his heart was set on being a bigger brand, and I think he wanted his family to be in a more positive place to live. So he joined all of the other dreamers in LA.

I never blamed LeBron for leaving Cleveland. Didn't blame Kevin Garnet for leaving Minnesota, either. He was one of my favorite players to watch, and I covered his Minn. teams when they played Dallas in the playoffs. I saw the media ask him, "Why can't you get your team past the first round?" in person. Saw the same thing with Pau Gasol at Memphis. I'm pretty sure Lebron saw his own "Small Market" dilemma, and other guys in similar situations.

With Golden State coming out of nowhere to become a mini-dynasty, Denver winning a title, and OKC & Minnesota building to what they were last season, it feels like the "Small Market" dilemma isn't the problem it once was. Let's hope small markets can compete.with all of the TV money franchises get.
Don't sleep on the Pelicans either if Zion works hard this offseason!

Agree and it wasn’t THAT he left but HOW he left with that crappy production. Maybe blame ESPN as much as Lebron.

I rarely root for Goliath. The Heat era did some good things but felt like a big failure given the Decision.

It’s widely known that the whole production and calling it “The Decision” was all ESPN and not LeBron

Lakers were already having the worst stretch of seasons in franchise history before Lebron showed up and saved them. Won an NBA finals and Western conference finals appearance during the twilight of his career.

Lebrons stint with the lakers so far has been very successful and to pretend it hasn’t is hilarious
