It’s supposed to rain for like 24 hours straight until 6 or 7 in the morning Thursday. Not much they can do about that
Greens have a vacuum system. They can suck it out before people tee off thursday

Suck it out then air dry it from underneath

I don't care what systems they have. The course isn't going to go from soaked to bone dry in a matter of an hour

Heading over this morning. I pray the storms go away. Been waiting on this for decades. Was just happy to get practice tix.

Someone needs to do a better job tying Zach Johnson’s tie.

It's not raining currently so you may get a few hours in this morning but unfortunately they are calling for more storms today. Hopefully it holds off, I know that would be aggravating as heck to have tickets and get rained out, especially if you traveled here.

The greens can be pretty dry in minutes
The rest of the course drains great as well though, particularly with an army of groundskeepers with squeegees

Should I lay money on Scottie or DJ?

Scottie has the hot hand but DJ has the experience. Hard to say…
I want Tiger to engineer another miracle but it sure would be cool to see Rory finally win it.

8 years since Rory's last major? I don't see him winning this week.

I put some on brooks already but I’d like to pick another winner I’m just torn on the two

btw I just noticed a pretty good promo on BetRivers app for the masters. place a $25+ wager on any golfer to win & get a free bet at the end of the tournament. Amount of free bet determined with +$1 for each birdie made by golfer & +$2 for each eagle.

6 top10 finishes in his last 8 Master's.
He missed the cut last year, but won his next tournament at Wells Fargo. He's getting close - why not this year?

If "firm and fast" were part of your Masters drinking game over most of the first three days of the event, well, you probably didn't make it through all of Saturday's coverage. But after the rain came, we saw a kinder, gentler Augusta National that finally yielded bursts of red on the leader board that fans come to expect from the year's first major. Before the rain delay, scores on Saturday were 28-over-par—but with softer greens after the delay, scores were collectively double-digits under par.
quote:
"The tricky part was probably hitting your putts hard enough," said Schauffele, who will play with Matsuyama again in Sunday's final group. "I think Hideki kind of was an example of that on 13. Hit a great iron shot in there. Normally you'd kind of just touch your putt, it gets feeding down that hill and it's an easy two-putt. Now you're sort of looking down at the creek there and you have to hit your putt hard coming down the hill. It was a challenge in a different way."
quote:
There was more to it than that, but I had a lot of putts that I missed that were short just because of how much slower the greens were, but everybody had to adjust to it, and I just didn't do it as well as everybody else."
But y'all are right, Augusta greens are impervious to rain
I think some of you argue just to argue. A comment is made about softer conditions being more ideal for scoring Thursday morning, and someone just has to argue, "but acthualllyyy, the masters has a sub-air system."

Neither, Scottie is playing well but he's won recently on favorable courses for him. Plus, its hard to win 4 tournaments in 8 weeks.
DJ is Andercursed and will likely now miss the cut.
FWIW, Cantlay and Rahm are #1 & #2 when it comes to Bentgrass green courses
