Why are there empty chairs in the gallery behind the #12 tee box? Please tell me those aren't "reserved seating". I'm guessing that most of the people still standing choose to stand so that they can move to other spots quickly. I know Tiger just started on the front, but I just found it odd to have empty chairback seats with people standing behind them.

Nah man, people get there when the gates open and rush to set up chairs in good spots like behind 12 tee to watch the action. Then they leave to go watch some other action because everybody starts at hole 1 and won't be to number 12 for a good while. This is Augusta nobody takes your spot

People put their chairs out in the morning to claim their spots, then walk the course and post up back there in the afternoon. The patrons are respectable enough not to take their seats.

I don't agree with that. If you want to "reserve" a spot, you sit your butt there all day.
