Are you trying to say something with that pic of the green jackets? Tiger's is missing.

But it's not on the hanger. Guess he's wearing it. #15 on Sunday?

It went to the tailor for re-fitting. He'll need it let out for this Sunday.

Watching the pros shape their shots from a behind the player view is fricking amazing.
Every swing a different shape, AND they mean to do it. What a concept

Definitely one of the cool aspects of this online coverage.

A couple of years ago at the Zurich, I was watching some guys on the range. Don't remember who it was, but one of them had his driver out and he would hit one straight, cut one 10 yards, then draw one 10 yards. He repeated that sequence several times. That's when I learned the difference between our game and theirs...we want the ball to go straight, they want it to curve.

I don't mind the curve, I just would like to know when it was going to

Well I played the TPC of La. a couple of years ago about a week after the tournament. I found out that a 450 yard par 4 line with fairway bunkers on one side, and trees on the other is not very fun. I noticed that there were no "bail out areas" on the greens. On my home courses, I know the "safe side" to miss it on. On the pro courses, you may have water on one side, a huge bunker on the other, a big dropoff directly behind the green, etc. My normal play when missing a green is to chip it low with spin. On the pro courses, you have big slopes, huge knobs, and high collars you must carry the ball over. You have to be able to chip it high and soft.
I was really discouraged after that round, but it has pushed me to learn how to play all kinds of different shots around the greens.

That's nothing compared to the pot bunkers or knobs in some of the fairway traps where you literally have no shot at the green...and you wonder why the pros don't like random arse Pete Dye courses on Tour....

quote:Watching Kenny Perry on the range during his run was impressive. He started out with a lob wedge, and hit every club from there to his driver. Every single one had a 10 yard draw. When he was done, I bet no ball was more than a few yards outside of a straight line. He literally hit every ball with every club with the exact same draw. It was extremely impressive.

I was gonna make another thread about this but I figured everyone who cares is in here...
In the eyes of te fans/media will the Masters be considered a disappointment if they don't win for anyone else besides Tiger?
