If he gets one major win I think he could go on a tear and win three or four in a two year period. The problem for Tiger though is getting that one win, it seems like with every loss in a major the pressure just grows and grows.

Poll was done on may of this year. 27% think he will win fewer than 18. Probably a few more today.

I am in hater camp, but am with you that he will catch that year when he gets a green jacket and a win due to a hot performance and a good layout for him at one of the others. Then, it's smooth sailing to 18+. If that happens, I want to see 20 so PJ has to suck a dick in public.

I would like to see a list of 40+ year old winners. I just feel like Eldrick still has 10 years of good cracks at it, plus another 10 where he could go on a geriatric run like Norman/Watson/Freddie.

Agreed. First of all, he won at Sawgrass this year, a place he basically despises, with his "shitty" swing. Second, everyone else is playing the same courses and a lot of these players know them just as well as Tiger.
His issue in majors is that he's putting pressure on himself because he knows this is what counts. If he doesn't win the Memorial or Bay Hill, whoop dee shite, he'll play again in a few weeks. He knows these majors only come 4 times a year and that his clock is ticking. That's why his putting isn't as good in majors...putting tends to go when nerves get in the way.

I said before the British that if he does not win one of the next 8, he'll probably not win another major.
So now, I guess it's one of the next 6.
You can chalk me up as a "hater" if you want, but I recognize TW is a hell of a golfer, and one of the best ever; however, there's only one GOAT, and he has 18 majors, plus 19 runner ups in majors and a shitton of top 5 and top 10 finishes.

The whole GOAT discussion is getting dumb at this point. First of all, Tiger has a career to finish. But even if he got hit by a truck tonight, there are plenty of stats that favor Tiger being the GOAT right now. In fact, pretty much the only stat Jack has in his favor is the majors. Granted, that's the one Tiger says is most important, but Tiger doesn't get to decide which stats count and which don't.
