Just got an email from Vanguard (the bottom of this post). I guess I’m glad that although the $500 I invested goes to $0, I’ll get a buck or two back in the class action suit.

I heard about this lawsuit. From what I heard the wall street version of personal injury attorneys are going after Workhorse for allegedly misleading investors over its chances of getting the usps contract. No idea if the suit has any merit or not.

I don't understand the fraud claim here. Seems like everyone knew it was a binsty trade and now it's sour grapes since y'all were wrong. I don't understand what the company did they would

This is the stock market's equivalent of a "slip and fall lawyer."

Not saying wkhs is a good investment but these “lawyers” are ambulance chasing scum. Basically they just seek out companies who shares have tumbled and start a class action suit claim. And in typical fashion, even if they were to win a case they would keep majority of the money. These suits are essentially meaningless.

Seems like the reason they were wrong is the postmaster general entered into an agreement that was contrary to guidelines of bidding. If the contract went to another company for that reason there is not much that WKHS could do and the investors were not wrong, the rules were changed in the 9th inning of the game. If the contract went to OshKosh because WKHS was not capable of fulfilling the contract then they likely perpetrated a fraud because they touted themselves as being capbable of doing so.

ETA: I don’t have shares of WKHS and agree that these claims are very common by an industry of lawyers. Pennies or micro pennies on the dollar per loss adds up to pretty significant attorneys fees and few companies actually want their books and emails opened up to be fully discovered. There is a reason they are filed, I am just not so sure it is to prevent fraud. Enron hasn’t changed corporate culture for the greedy (not every company qualifies), these lawsuits certainly haven’t either.

This is how we know some of you have not been investing in risky companies or for a long time

The above people mentioning ambulance chasers is correct and these lawsuits never really come to fruition.

One call, that's all

The former LA Attorney General Charles Foti is involved in a similar suit against CLOV. Happens all the time. It's slimy as hell.

I assume part of it would include the CEO misleading investors by saying they had a bunch of orders, when in fact they were not orders but letters of interest, which are completely non-binding.

These lawsuits happen on every stock with a significant drop. I guess they settle out of court and make some easy money that way
