Dammit I missed my chance yesterday and now it’s up 1400

Isn’t tomorrow or Thursday the day for china tariffs? I’m hoping it dips again this week so I can get back in.

I only got a couple grand on Nvidia at 93 yesterday

VIX

Suggests continued market turmoil. You can catch it on the way down later this week.

The extreme open by Trump will pay off. The reality is the average person isn't well trained in negotiations nor do these high stakes negotiations typically occur in such a public spectacle on the global stage. Hence, the headlines, fear, volatility, etc. Very few have the stomach to manage this pressure effectively. The most important thing that Trump and his top leaders did: they didn't flinch. If they had showed even the smallest doubt in the plan, this whole thing come crashing down. Trump now gets to call whatever he deems appropriate a "win" and has tons of moves he can make with each country because of the extreme open.

This entire thing will show how dependent the world is on the US consumer.

Long term though, this won't be forgotten by world leaders. They will absolutely look to become less US dependent (albeit, it's difficult to do when there isn't another pool of buyers at scale with the US buying power).

I said yesterday buy when people are panicking. There was no reason for the sell off. Nothing had actually happened. People are emotional and that’s true of stock traders as well. That was dumb money leaving. Now smart money comes in.

I bought yesterday. I hope you did.

This will go back down further, it isn’t a one and done thing and we haven’t found the bottom.

These aren’t straight down, straight back up events.

Well technically, if you bought three trading days ago you bought at the same level as those buying today.

I take it you are buying today because you seemed to have missed the point of my post.

No
Those are manufactured. Computer driven and not designed to make sense.

Relief rally for the time being.. I blew a smaller account up during covid buying puts on days like Friday. Some of the most monster face ripping rallies I've ever seen and they all went against me.

I still think we likely go lower unless we get some certainty on these tariffs.

Nope bought what I needed to yesterday.

Just pointing out that the “dumb”investors that are buying today are buying the same deals as you from two days ago. Just because you bought on the way down and people are buying on the way up doesn’t change the price they are buying at. You are acting like you are smarter than people but on paper your trades are no different.

Not immediately but over the next few weeks I believe we will see a lot of deals with our biggest partners.

i want it to crash VOO and QQQ to under 300. Then i will go ALL IN!

i added a little to my VOO and QQQ positions. mainly keeping my powder dry for the big buys if it keeps crashing.

I expect today to just be a speed bump and it keeps going down big tomm.

huge tariffs on CHYNA were just announced. Hope this drives it way down tomm.

also you can make money going short with SDS on the way down. that is what i do while waiting to get back in certain long positions.

vs TR 2X Long VIX Futures ETF (UVIX)
98.18 +24.69 (+33.60%) 15:22 ET [NYSE Arca]

Put a few thousand in this morning. Was looking like a big loss, then, back goes the VIX to 52.14 and climbing. Just sold the shares. Not for the faint of heart and I'll probably quit doing this soon. Too volatile.

Nice while it lasted.
