I built, and own, the website www.officequotes.net. It's got every word ever said on The Office. It's a great resource for anyone trying to look up a quote from the show. As you can tell from the site, I'm not a professional web developer. I knew just enough to get by, and had a lot of help from awesome Office fans.

Except for a short stint when I let someone else run the site, I've never put ads on it. It was my baby, and I didn't build it to make money, so I kept it clean and simple.

Now the office is as popular as ever (on Netflix and syndication), and I don't have time to do anything with the site. I could really use some extra cash from selling it.

Looking it up on some of the "How much is your website worth?" sites, ranges anywhere from like 5k to 30k. I know those aren't reliable, and in reality I'd get whatever someone's willing to pay.

So how do I find that out? Where do I start when looking for a buyer? Any advice? Help!

I'll give you 350 for it.

Good luck!

I know a guy who years ago made a translation website that basically just used Google and now Microsoft translation and has ads on it. Microsoft basically forgot they existed so the ads generate like $500 a month for him.

So think about how simple ads on a website you barely have to maintain may make you some money.

Wouldn’t posting 100% of the words spoken constitute some sort of copyright violation?

If you end up keeping it and going the ad revenue route, you definitely need to search engine optimize I googled “the office quotes” and there are a lot of similar sites

I feel like this is the exact scene in knocked up when they find out about Mr Skin...

Pretty sure IMDB has all of this, no?

Why do you not have any ads on it or Amazon referral links making you money?

No, imdb and other sites have lots of quotes, but my site has literally every line.
