Really? How does that work since it's higher now than it was this time last year? Since I know how much you like Truflation:

The Fed uses PCE which was 2.6% in June and July, up from 2.4% in May and 2.2% in April. August will be released later this month and without much doubt will be higher than 2.6%.

Thats what they are looking at for their targeted 2% rate

I used it to underscore how ridiculous your claim was that "inflation has plummeted since the cuts".

Your own favored source proved you wrong.

And yes, I agree a 25bps cut isn’t off the table even though it should be. The market has priced it in and the market doesn’t react well to surprises.

I’ve been loading up on GLD, SLV, BTC and ETH. As well as smaller positions in some foreign exchanges and currencies. We are going to shred the dollar. It’s all about the numbers. The reality doesn’t matter.

No it doesnt. Thats barely a movement and then has plummted since.

We are at 2% or under. You all think we are at 3% and thaf cuts will cause runaway inflation

You also said tariffs would do the same

You havent ever been right

Link? You've said that before and when I asked you for a link you crawfished back from it. I fully expect history to repeat itself again.

That's some especially selective cherry-picking on your wording. Inflation was going down, the Sept 24 cut happened, and it started going back up by the next month's reading where it rose until December/January. It went down after that, but has since risen back to being above where it was this time last year.

So by saying it "plummeted", you either don't grasp how numbers work or else you're talking about only when it did drop, but conveniently leaving out how it rose both before and after the drop (read: lying about it).

Along with that, inflation is higher now than it was when you got your .5 cut last year.

Those aren't vague concept, they are hard numbers coming from the source you prefer (posted above) and you apparently can't stand being called on it.

Ok so you arent a tariff tard. You are just wrong about cuts and inflation and dont know how to read a report

Again thank you for showing us that inflation is at and has been at or lower than 2% for months now

It hasn't. The point you are purposely avoiding is that you are wrong about inflation from last year's cuts. You attempt to hide behind an eventual drop while ignoring that it was sandwiched between so much growth that we are now at a higher inflation rate than we were this time last year.

The very data you rely on disproves your point. You're like the trannie crowd praising John Money's work when the truth is that his experiment attempting to prove that "gender identity" is malleable failed miserably (his subject eventually committed suicide over it).

YoY CPI bumped up from holding steady at 2.7% for June and July to 2.9% in August.
so , above the 2% target ; no rate cut, need to get inflation down below 2%
